La subsidiaria de General Motors (GM), OnStar, firm\u00f3 con la Secretar\u00eda de Seguridad P\u00fablica (SSP) de Quintana Roo un convenio de colaboraci\u00f3n para intercambio de informaci\u00f3n de accidentes de tr\u00e1nsito y robo de veh\u00edculos.<\/p>\n

El acuerdo, noveno en el pa\u00eds, tambi\u00e9n permitir\u00e1 proporcionar asistencia en tiempo real a los veh\u00edculos GM que cuenten con el sistema personalizado de seguridad y conectividad,\u00a0 OnStar, para recibir atenci\u00f3n inmediata en accidentes viales y situaciones de emergencias en todo el estado.<\/p>\n

Michael Szachta, director general de OnStar M\u00e9xico, asegur\u00f3 que con el acuerdo \u201cavanzamos para concretar alianzas p\u00fablicas, privadas y sociales que permiten garantizar mayor seguridad para nuestros usuarios y los ciudadanos, ya que la seguridad p\u00fablica es una tarea compartida\u201d.<\/p>\n

OnStar cuenta con localizaci\u00f3n satelital de veh\u00edculo en tiempo real, adem\u00e1s de sistemas de bloqueo de arranque del motor y desaceleraci\u00f3n del veh\u00edculo en caso de robo. La plataforma tecnol\u00f3gica aporta herramientas de diagn\u00f3stico para conducir con seguridad y respaldo, rutas de navegaci\u00f3n, as\u00ed como servicios remotos e informaci\u00f3n cr\u00edtica de un accidente vehicular.<\/p>\n

GM de M\u00e9xico es el primer fabricante de autom\u00f3viles que ofrece un servicio de alta tecnolog\u00eda integrada en M\u00e9xico, desde junio de 2013. En la actualidad, el sistema cuenta con\u00a0 24 mil 500 suscriptores en la Rep\u00fablica Mexicana, de los cuales entre mil y mil 200 est\u00e1n en Quintana Roo. OnStar est\u00e1 disponible en 21 modelos de las cuatro marcas de GM: Chevrolet, Buick, GMC y Cadillac.<\/p>\n
