AMResorts a trav\u00e9s de la gesti\u00f3n de los hoteles Secrets Aura y Sunscape Sabor signa alianza con Rafael Nadal\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

La cadena hotelera AMResorts tom\u00f3 la gesti\u00f3n de las propiedades del tenista Rafa Nadal en Cozumel, a trav\u00e9s de sus firmas Secrets y Resorts & Spas Sunscape, operaci\u00f3n que se oficializ\u00f3 con la firma de la alianza liderada por Alex Zozaya, CEO de Apple Leisure Group, y el ahora hotelero Rafael Nadal, la cual tendr\u00e1 vigencia por 15 a\u00f1os, as\u00ed como funciones de venta y marketing de las propiedades, que se incorporan a las 13 que mantienen en Quintana Roo con una oferta global de cinco mil llaves hoteleras.<\/p>\n

AMResorts cambi\u00f3 las marcas de los centros de hospedaje el a\u00f1o pasado, que se suman, con un total de 498 llaves, a la oferta hotelera cozumele\u00f1a. El Sabor Cozumel Exclusive Resort & Spa y Aura Cozumel se convirtieron en el Secrets Aura Cozumel. El Sabor Cozumel Regency se transformar\u00e1 en Sunscape Sabor Cozumel, de 330 habitaciones, y aunque actualmente est\u00e1 en operaci\u00f3n, su remodelaci\u00f3n integral concluir\u00e1 a mediados de abril pr\u00f3ximo para dar paso a su nueva faceta como parte de la firma hotelera con mayor crecimiento en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n

\u201cLa idea es tener una alianza de largo plazo despu\u00e9s de una inversi\u00f3n importante que han hecho los propietarios, en este caso la familia Nadal junto con otros socios en Cozumel, donde queremos tener presencia por mucho tiempo con un producto muy exitoso como Secrets Aura\u201d, afirm\u00f3 Alex Zozaya.<\/p>\n

Nadal, por su parte, se\u00f1al\u00f3 que tras pl\u00e1ticas con Zozaya en Nueva York en 2010 se concret\u00f3 finalmente la operaci\u00f3n: \u201cLa relaci\u00f3n es fant\u00e1stica, primero con Alex, despu\u00e9s entre las empresas, ambas privadas y familiares. Asimismo el hecho de invertir en un sitio tan especial como Cozumel me llena de satisfacci\u00f3n, adem\u00e1s de ver c\u00f3mo las cosas han ido evolucionando en este \u00faltimo a\u00f1o. Tenemos confianza en esta alianza con AMResorts y con la experiencia de Zozaya en el mundo de la industria tur\u00edstica, todo esto es garant\u00eda de \u00e9xito\u201d, subray\u00f3.<\/p>\n

AMResorts, fundada en 2001, cuenta con 22 establecimientos, y report\u00f3 un crecimiento significativo durante el \u00faltimo a\u00f1o gracias a su proyecto de expansi\u00f3n continua. Actualmente la firma est\u00e1 compuesta por seis marcas diferentes con 32 propiedades y 12 mil habitaciones.<\/p>\n

\u201cAMResorts seguir\u00e1 siendo motor de crecimiento del grupo Apple Leisure Group, que involucra las empresas filiales Apple Vacations, Amstar y la aerol\u00ednea USA3000, donde cuenta con la participaci\u00f3n accionaria del fondo inversionista Bain Capital desde el pasado mes de diciembre. Tenemos en mente duplicar de tama\u00f1o la cadena hotelera en cinco a\u00f1os. Deberemos estar sobre 60 propiedades\u201d, refiere Zozaya.<\/p>\n

\u201cEn el caso particular de Quintana Roo tenemos la proyecci\u00f3n de tres hoteles. El primero en abrirse ser\u00e1 el de Akumal, de 440 a 445 suites de gran lujo, de baja densidad y con una inversi\u00f3n muy importante cifrada en 300 mil d\u00f3lares por cuarto, en el cual llevar\u00edamos su gesti\u00f3n. Su apertura se prev\u00e9 para noviembre de 2014.<\/p>\n

El siguiente hotel ser\u00eda el de Playa Mujeres, de casi 500 habitaciones, y es copropiedad de los due\u00f1os de Playa Mujeres. Nosotros entrar\u00edamos tambi\u00e9n en gesti\u00f3n y estar\u00eda abri\u00e9ndose un a\u00f1o despu\u00e9s, octubre-noviembre del 2015. M\u00e1s o menos estar\u00edamos iniciando obra a finales de este mismo a\u00f1o del de Bah\u00eda Petempich, con el cual estaremos lanzando la nueva marca Breathless Resorts & Spas, como inversionistas. Contar\u00e1 con 500 llaves y operar\u00e1 bajo la modalidad s\u00f3lo adultos y bajo un concepto lifestyle, de romance y sensualidad. Este predio ser\u00e1 la plataforma de nuestra nueva marca, con la que deberemos tener tres o cuatro hoteles en los siguientes tres o cuatro a\u00f1os\u201d, indica el CEO.<\/p>\n

La compa\u00f1\u00eda prev\u00e9 la entrada a nuevos destinos, como Costa Rica, y actualmente tiene cuatro propiedades en desarrollo: Now Onyx Punta Cana, Rep\u00fablica Dominicana; Secrets Puerto Los Cabos, Dreams Las Mareas Costa Rica, Now Perla Puerto Vallarta.
