El evento se llev\u00f3 a cabo en el Grand Kronenhof Hotel, en Pontresina, Suiza, y premi\u00f3 a los centros gastron\u00f3micos m\u00e1s lujosos de 38 pa\u00edses, en 35 categor\u00edas en las que participaron alrededor de 400 concursantes. Para Paradisus Playa del Carmen represent\u00f3 un gran acontecimiento, ya que dos de sus restaurantes fueron premiados en la divisi\u00f3n Global. Passion by Mart\u00edn Berasategui recibi\u00f3 el reconocimiento <em>Luxury Hotel Restaurant<\/em>, con la mayor\u00eda de votos dentro de la categor\u00eda. El segundo premio fue para el restaurante Fuego, cuya especialidad es la fusi\u00f3n latina en mariscos y al que se reconoci\u00f3 en el segmento de Cocina Sudamericana.
