{"id":22970,"date":"2016-12-12T09:47:26","date_gmt":"2016-12-12T15:47:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/innovatori.space\/lat21\/?p=22970"},"modified":"2016-12-12T11:58:43","modified_gmt":"2016-12-12T17:58:43","slug":"firman-acuerdo-para-proteger-la-selva-maya","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/l21.mx\/?p=22970","title":{"rendered":"Firman importante acuerdo para proteger la Selva Maya"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/l21.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/image012.jpg\" data-rel=\"penci-gallery-image-content\" ><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-22972\" title=\"image012\" src=\"http:\/\/l21.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/image012.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"532\" height=\"355\" srcset=\"https:\/\/l21.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/image012.jpg 532w, https:\/\/l21.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/image012-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/l21.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/image012-263x175.jpg 263w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 532px) 100vw, 532px\" \/><\/a>Para preservar los recursos culturales, hist\u00f3ricos y biol\u00f3gicos de la Selva Maya, regi\u00f3n importante y vital para Centroam\u00e9rica, la Comisi\u00f3n Nacional de \u00c1reas Naturales Protegidas (CONANP), el Banco Alem\u00e1n de Desarrollo (kfW), la Uni\u00f3n Internacional para la Conservaci\u00f3n de la Naturaleza y la cooperaci\u00f3n t\u00e9cnica alemana (GIZ) celebraron el arranque del Programa de Protecci\u00f3n de Recursos Naturales de la Selva Maya, iniciativa regional de conservaci\u00f3n, entre Belice, Guatemala y M\u00e9xico.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">En el marco de la <strong>COP 13<\/strong> y en el evento paralelo llamado <strong>Protegiendo a la Selva<\/strong>, expertos nacionales e\u00a0 internacionales, plantearon las oportunidades y retos en la conservaci\u00f3n de la <strong>Selva Maya,\u00a0<\/strong>sus recursos naturales, biodiversidad y patrimonio cultural.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\"><strong>Andrew Rhodes Espinoza,<\/strong> Director General de Desarrollo Institucional y Promoci\u00f3n, destac\u00f3 que es importante mantener la conectividad y promover el manejo integrado de paisaje incluyendo a las \u00c1reas Naturales Protegidas pues no deben circunscribirse a los l\u00edmites de un pa\u00eds ya que las especies y los ecosistemas no tienen fronteras.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\"><strong>Ricardo G\u00f3mez<\/strong>, Director de la Regi\u00f3n Pen\u00ednsula de Yucat\u00e1n y Caribe Mexicano de la CONANP se congratul\u00f3 por esta iniciativa y explic\u00f3 que en M\u00e9xico la CONANP trabaja en la creaci\u00f3n de corredores biol\u00f3gicos que permitan la conectividad tanto terrestre como marina y, en el caso de la selva maya se trabaja en conectar desde la Reserva de la Biosfera de Sian Ka\u00b4an, el \u00c1rea de Protecci\u00f3n de Flora y Fauna Bala&#8217;an K&#8217;aax, la Reserva de la Biosfera Calakmul hacia los macizos forestales de Guatemala y Belice.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">Dijo que para lograr un desarrollo sustentable de nuestras selvas, se debe tomar ejemplos de las pr\u00e1cticas ancestrales de los mayas que han vivido cientos de a\u00f1os en estos territorios y han convivido con sus recursos naturales.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">Un ejemplo dijo es el caso de <strong>Calakmul<\/strong>, donde producen la miel que se obtiene de los acahuales, pr\u00e1ctica ancestral y recurso importante para la apicultura ya que al ser vegetaci\u00f3n secundaria tiene floraci\u00f3n diversa.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">Finalmente, Ricardo G\u00f3mez enfatiz\u00f3 que continuar\u00e1n trabajando de la mano con\u00a0 GIZ, KFW y UICN, y reconoci\u00f3 la labor del gobierno alem\u00e1n con pa\u00edses como Belice, Guatemala y M\u00e9xico, en el esfuerzo por conservar las funciones ecosist\u00e9micas y los valores culturales de la Selva Maya, promoviendo el bienestar de su gente y manteniendo su contribuci\u00f3n global de bienes y servicios ambientales.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">La <strong>Selva Maya<\/strong> es un bloque estrat\u00e9gico de ecosistemas naturales relevante globalmente en procesos de adaptaci\u00f3n y mitigaci\u00f3n al cambio clim\u00e1tico. Este paisaje, que abarca <strong>42,300 kil\u00f3metros<\/strong> cuadrados en un corredor de \u00e1reas naturales protegidas en las que las categor\u00edas de manejo convergen en un continuo geogr\u00e1fico, que en algunos casos est\u00e1 separado por l\u00edmites internacionales.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Para preservar los recursos culturales,
