Hace 10 a\u00f1os, cuando llega a mis manos la revista <strong>Latitud 21<\/strong> por primera vez, fue muy satisfactorio ver en la portada a dos de los hombres que m\u00e1s aprecio y admiro en mi vida, don <strong>Armando Millet<\/strong> y don <strong>Richard Sutton<\/strong>, hombres de gran influencia en mi persona, pilares en mi formaci\u00f3n empresarial y a quienes siempre les expreso mi eterna gratitud por las oportunidades que me dieron y las ense\u00f1anzas que me compartieron. Y ese primer encuentro con <strong>Latitud 21<\/strong> hace 10 a\u00f1os fue tambi\u00e9n mi primer encuentro con otro hombre al que respeto como periodista y que tambi\u00e9n me ha compartido sus ense\u00f1anzas y experiencias, don <strong>Fernando Mart\u00ed<\/strong>. La idea de una revista con enfoque empresarial en el Caribe mexicano fue simplemente genial. Lo suficiente como para merecer cr\u00e9dito. Pero la realizaci\u00f3n y ejecuci\u00f3n en el producto<strong> Latitud 21<\/strong> fue a\u00fan de mayor m\u00e9rito.<\/p>\n<p>El d\u00eda de hoy, diez a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s, la vida me pone no s\u00f3lo como un lector y seguidor de <strong>Latitud 21<\/strong>, sino como el Presidente del Consejo y por lo tanto con la oportunidad de ocupar un espacio editorial que me permita expresar mis ideas, aun cuando sea de la manera fresca y casual de un amateur en el periodismo. Muchas cosas han ocurrido en <strong>Latitud 21<\/strong> desde su inicio, muchas cosas han cambiado a lo largo de estos 10 a\u00f1os, desde formatos, dise\u00f1os, contenidos, direcci\u00f3n ejecutiva, editor, presidente del consejo, accionistas, etc. Pero algunas otras se mantienen intactas, como son el objetivo de la revista, su esencia, su raz\u00f3n de ser y de existir y, por supuesto, su alma. <strong>Latitud 21<\/strong> sigue siendo la revista que aspira a ser la voz informante en la comunidad empresarial del Caribe mexicano, y a\u00fan m\u00e1s, un medio que reconoce al empresario y que inspira al emprendedor. Esa es su esencia, su raz\u00f3n de ser y eso no cambia. Pero tambi\u00e9n, <strong>Latitud 21<\/strong> sigue siendo la revista con un alma que ha hecho posible 120 ediciones consecutivas durante 10 a\u00f1os ininterrumpidos, y esa alma se llama <strong>Mariana Orea<\/strong>. Uno de los aciertos m\u00e1s importantes de <strong>Fernando<\/strong> fue sin duda sumar a <strong>Mariana<\/strong> al proyecto de <strong>Latitud 21<\/strong>. Mujer emprendedora, periodista de pensamiento, palabra, obra y comisi\u00f3n, no conozco a nadie con el profesionalismo y la entrega period\u00edstica mejor que <strong>Mariana.<\/strong> Es por ello que esta carta, esta columna de un escritor amateur, se la dedico a esa mujer, a quien, en nombre de la comunidad empresarial de Canc\u00fan, de Quintana Roo y de M\u00e9xico le digo: Gracias<strong> Mariana<\/strong>. Pudiera concluir diciendo que detr\u00e1s de toda gran revista hay una gran mujer, pero me siento orgulloso de decir que hoy, al frente de una gran revista hay una gran mujer. Felicidades <strong>Latitud 21 <\/strong>por tus primeros 10 a\u00f1os de vida.
