\"\"<\/a>El parque Xcaret concret\u00f3 la primera etapa de un ambicioso programa al liberar 20 guacamayas nacidas en Quinta Roo en el Ecoparque\u00a0 Aluxes ubicado en Palenque, Chiapas, lugar donde la especie se extingui\u00f3 hace m\u00e1s de 70 a\u00f1os. Este logro corona 20 a\u00f1os de esfuerzos iniciados en 1993 con el prop\u00f3sito de contribuir a la conservaci\u00f3n de la Guacamaya Roja (Ara macao), que con el tiempo se ha convertido en el programa m\u00e1s exitoso en su tipo en el \u00e1mbito internacional. Otros 30 ejemplares permanecen en esta reserva natural de m\u00e1s de mil 700 hect\u00e1reas, para cumplir un proceso de adaptaci\u00f3n al medio ambiente en una jaula de preliberaci\u00f3n, antes de ser liberados definitivamente y completar los 60 que regresar\u00e1n a la selva este 2013. Actualmente en Xcaret existe un \u00e1rea de reproducci\u00f3n de guacamayas con t\u00e9cnicas vanguardistas y colaboradores altamente especializados, que cerr\u00f3 el 2012 con el nacimiento de 132 especies, de las cuales todas sobreviven.<\/p>\n
