Con \u00a0el convenio de colaboraci\u00f3n entre el Gobierno de Quintana Roo y el Fondo Mexicano para la Conservaci\u00f3n de la Naturaleza<\/strong><\/p>\n

El acuerdo se firmar\u00e1 en el Centro de Atenci\u00f3n y Rehabilitaci\u00f3n de Mam\u00edferos Acu\u00e1ticos \u00a0de la Reserva Estatal Santuario del Manat\u00ed Bah\u00eda de Chetumal<\/strong><\/p>\n

Para dar continuidad a las acciones a fondo trazadas por el gobernador Carlos Joaqu\u00edn en beneficio de la conservaci\u00f3n del entorno natural, el Estado a trav\u00e9s de la Secretar\u00eda de Ecolog\u00eda y Medio Ambiente firmar\u00e1 el convenio de colaboraci\u00f3n con el Fondo Mexicano para la Conservaci\u00f3n de la Naturaleza, para el fortalecimiento de la Reserva Estatal Santuario del Manat\u00ed Bah\u00eda de Chetumal.<\/p>\n

El acuerdo tiene como objetivo establecer las bases para la colaboraci\u00f3n entre las partes en la conservaci\u00f3n de \u00e1reas naturales protegidas administradas por el Gobierno del Estado, con la finalidad de crear y fortalecer una red funcional de \u00e1reas protegidas marinas y costeras prioritarias en la Regi\u00f3n del Sistema Arrecifal Mesoamericano (SAM) y promover la adaptaci\u00f3n al cambio clim\u00e1tico, conservaci\u00f3n de recursos naturales y procesos ecol\u00f3gicos.<\/p>\n

El Fondo para el Sistema Arrecifal Mesoamericano est\u00e1 integrado por donantes, expertos, la Comisi\u00f3n Centroamericana de Ambiente y Desarrollo y los fondos ambientales de cada uno de los pa\u00edses que componen el Arrecife Mesoamericano, Protected\u00a0 \u00c1reas Conservation\u00a0 Trust (Belice), Fundaci\u00f3n para la Conservaci\u00f3n de los Recursos Naturales y Ambiente \u00a0(Guatemala), Fundaci\u00f3n Biosfera (Honduras) y el Fondo Mexicano para la Conservaci\u00f3n de la Naturaleza.<\/p>\n

Una manera efectiva de atender los diferentes problemas que amenazan al Arrecife Mesoamericano es a trav\u00e9s del desarrollo de una red regional interconectada y funcional de \u00e1reas protegidas marinas y costeras, \u00a0la red resultante proteger\u00e1 las poblaciones de peces, diversos h\u00e1bitats, sitios de agregaciones de desove, recursos acu\u00e1ticos, recursos forestales, oportunidades de recreaci\u00f3n y posibilidades de desarrollo y crecimiento para la eco regi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

El proyecto es apoyado por el Gobierno de Alemania mediante el banco de desarrollo KfW, el \u00e1rea est\u00e1 delimitada por el SAM compartido entre M\u00e9xico, Belice, Guatemala y Honduras. Se invita a la poblaci\u00f3n en general para que sean testigos de la \u00a0firma de convenio el 31 de marzo a las 11:00 horas en el \u00a0Centro de Atenci\u00f3n y Rehabilitaci\u00f3n de Mam\u00edferos Acu\u00e1ticos en la Reserva Estatal Santuario del Manat\u00ed Bah\u00eda Chetumal.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
