Esto sucedi\u00f3 tras una reuni\u00f3n que sostuve en Londres con el presidente de tour operadores europeos Thompson Holidays, quienes nos pidieron resolver el problema m\u00e9dico en Rep\u00fablica Dominicana\u201d.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>La incursi\u00f3n de Grupo Hospiten en el mercado mexicano tuvo lugar en este destino tur\u00edstico gracias a la visi\u00f3n empresarial de Pedro Luis Cobiella, merecedor de nuestra portada en octubre del 2003. Hospiten Canc\u00fan arranc\u00f3 con una inversi\u00f3n de 20 millones de d\u00f3lares en su primera fase, como r\u00e9plica del \u00e9xito obtenido en Islas Canarias y Rep\u00fablica Dominicana.<\/p>\n<p>Grupo Hospiten es la red hospitalaria m\u00e1s importante en las regiones tur\u00edsticas de Espa\u00f1a con proyecci\u00f3n internacional. Cuenta con m\u00e1s de mil camas y atiende a m\u00e1s de un mill\u00f3n de pacientes al a\u00f1o en sus 14 centros. Su expansi\u00f3n en Quintana Roo se dio de forma natural con la apertura de Hospiten Riviera Maya, en 2006, con 19 camas y una inversi\u00f3n de 15 millones de d\u00f3lares en su primera
