Juan Luis Carrillo Soberanis, Presidente Municipal de Isla Mujeres, el Bi\u00f3logo Carlos Barranco, Director de Medio Medio Ambiente y Ecolog\u00eda del Municipio de Isla Mujeres y el Lic. Helman Ulises Berman Graniel, Director de Protecci\u00f3n Civil,\u00a0 presentaron ante medios de comunicaci\u00f3n el exitoso resultado de los tratamientos que recibi\u00f3 \u201cPaki\u201d durante el tiempo que estuvo bajo el cuidado de los expertos de Dolphin Discovery en la Tortugranja.<\/p>\n<p>Posterior a la conferencia, el equipo de Veterinarios y Especialistas en Mam\u00edferos Marinos de Dolphin Discovery llevaron a cabo la reintroducci\u00f3n al mar del delf\u00edn nombrado \u201cPaki\u201d que qued\u00f3 varado en los acantilados de la colonia La Gloria, en Isla Mujeres a principios del mes de mayo.<\/p>\n<p>Despu\u00e9s de aproximadamente un mes y medio, y gracias al apoyo de los Veterinarios y Especialistas de Dolphin Discovery que cuidaron de \u00e9l las 24 horas, Paki logr\u00f3 revertir la deshidrataci\u00f3n y el problema infeccioso que presentaba cuando var\u00f3. Cabe mencionar que gracias a la oportuna intervenci\u00f3n de Protecci\u00f3n Civil, PROFEPA y la Direcci\u00f3n de Ecolog\u00eda de Isla Mujeres, su rescate se llev\u00f3 sin contratiempos.<\/p>\n<p>Para monitorear su exitosa reintroducci\u00f3n al mar, se le coloc\u00f3 un localizador en su aleta dorsal; este dispositivo inteligente es a prueba de agua y est\u00e1 programado por medio de un software instalado en la computadora de los veterinarios, el cual tiene dos meses de vida y transmitir\u00e1 se\u00f1ales 4 veces al d\u00eda v\u00eda satelital para que capten su ubicaci\u00f3n, con la finalidad de obtener informaci\u00f3n que les permita actuar en caso de que Paki vuelva a varar en otra playa.<em>\u201cEl dispositivo de rastreo es una excelente herramienta para monitorear el comportamiento de Paki, nos permitir\u00e1 conocer su paradero en caso de que quede varado nuevamente o encuentre una manada con la que pueda continuar su camino en busca de alimento, lo cual ser\u00e1 indicio de su buen estado de salud\u201d<\/em>, coment\u00f3 el Doctor Roberto S\u00e1nchez Okrucky, Director de Medicina Veterinaria de Dolphin
