Tras estas acciones, se iniciaron los primeros recorridos dentro de esta \u00c1rea Natural Protegida (ANP), ubicada en el estado de Quintana Roo.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Esta labor permiti\u00f3 a la CONANP y elementos tanto de Gendarmer\u00eda como de la Coordinaci\u00f3n Estatal de Quintana Roo, trazar un plan estrat\u00e9gico para evitar la construcci\u00f3n irregular en \u00c1reas Naturales Protegidas y hacer frente a los delitos ambientales como la tala de manglar.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">El Comisionado Nacional, Alejandro del Mazo, reiter\u00f3 que la preparaci\u00f3n de los elementos policiales en materia ambiental es fundamental, pues con ello se da continuidad y certeza a las acciones de protecci\u00f3n y conservaci\u00f3n.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">La capacitaci\u00f3n a los elementos de la Gendarmer\u00eda y los recorridos llevado a cabo, forman parte de los resultados del convenio firmado entre la Secretaria del Medio Ambiente y Recursos Naturales y la Comisi\u00f3n Nacional de Seguridad, que estipula la colaboraci\u00f3n institucional para llegar a disminuir y prevenir delitos ambientales en las \u00c1reas Naturales Protegidas.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Holbox que en lengua Maya significa \u201choyo negro\u201d, forma parte del \u00c1rea de Protecci\u00f3n de Flora y Fauna Yum Balam, donde se pueden encontrar especies animales como los flamencos rosados (<i>Phoenicopterus ruber<\/i>), el Pel\u00edcano Blanco (<i>Pelecanus erythrorhynchos<\/i>), el charran m\u00ednimo (<i>Sterna antillarum<\/i>) y el \u00e1guila pescadora (<i>Pandion halaieuts<\/i>). Asimismo tres especies de manglar y palmas como el Chit, Nakax y Ciricotes entre otras especies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">La isla grande de Holbox tiene al norte una extensi\u00f3n 24 km de playa donde anidan cuatro especies de tortugas marinas, predominando la tortuga de Carey (<i>Eretmochelys imbricata<\/i>), mientras que al sur de la isla la vegetaci\u00f3n\u00a0 es de manglar.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Cuenta con un clima tropical, lo que permite desarrollar diversas actividades tur\u00edsticas, pesqueras y en menor escala las artesanales. La Laguna de Yalahau o Conil, sirve de h\u00e1bitat a numerosas especies marinas como los delfines, manat\u00eds y cocodrilos.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\"><a href=\"http:\/\/l21.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/image014.jpg\" data-rel=\"penci-gallery-image-content\" ><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-27994\" src=\"http:\/\/l21.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/image014-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/l21.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/image014-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/l21.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/image014-263x175.jpg 263w, https:\/\/l21.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/image014.jpg 465w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Adem\u00e1s sirve como sitio de reproducci\u00f3n, nacimiento y desarrollo de especies pesqueras de importancia comercial, fundamentales para la econom\u00eda y desarrollo de la poblaci\u00f3n local. Es por ello que estos esfuerzos resultan de gran importancia para la conservaci\u00f3n.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span
