En la disputa por la sede del Tianguis Tur\u00edstico 2014 que se realizar\u00e1 en Canc\u00fan todo se vale, incluso cantar victoria antes de que el Comit\u00e9 Organizador termine de cumplir con el proceso oficial, al menos para acatar\u00a0 las formas. De los recintos interesados en albergar el mayor evento tur\u00edstico del pa\u00eds, el hotel Moon Palace, comandado por Jos\u00e9 Chapur Zahoul, parece haber tomado una posici\u00f3n adelantada a juzgar por las declaraciones del propio Chapur, quien en una cena de gala con mayoristas de Estados Unidos\u00a0 dio por hecho que su inmueble ser\u00eda la sede del tianguis, anuncio por el que recibi\u00f3 una gran ovaci\u00f3n. Esa misma seguridad lo lleva a realizar una fuerte inyecci\u00f3n de capital para duplicar el tama\u00f1o de su Centro de Convenciones, a 22 mil metros cuadrados. A la par, el otro gigante en extensi\u00f3n, el Lak\u00e1m Center, presume sus 25 mil m2 climatizados, adem\u00e1s de una mayor facilidad en cuanto al acceso al evento. El recinto dirigido por Horacio Estrada y bajo operaci\u00f3n de BP-RIO Development Company, conjuntamente con el mayor operador de centros de eventos en Estados Unidos, la compa\u00f1\u00eda SMG, no baja la guardia en su af\u00e1n de albergar el Tianguis Tur\u00edstico, o al menos funcionar como sede alterna. Al cierre de esta edici\u00f3n ambas locaciones hab\u00edan recibido la visita de los integrantes del Comit\u00e9 Organizador de la Sectur; sin embargo, a\u00fan quedan en el aire las decisiones m\u00e1s importantes: la sede y la fecha.<\/p>\n
