Alejandro S\u00e1nchez del Arco, vicepresidente regional Hoteles RIU, Luis Riu G\u00fcell CEO Hoteles RIU,<\/p><\/div>\n

Riu Hotels & Resorts<\/strong> ha emitido un comunicado en el que defiende la inocencia de los directivos de la cadena, tras haberse abierto una investigaci\u00f3n en Miami Beach<\/strong> para cuyo esclarecimiento \u00abha comparecido ante las autoridades voluntariamente\u00bb el consejero delegado de la compa\u00f1\u00eda, Luis Riu<\/strong>, \u00abtal y como hab\u00eda sido pactado y coordinado con las autoridades locales\u00bb, seg\u00fan la cadena.<\/p>\n

Riu afirma que sus \u00bb ejecutivos son absolutamente inocentes de los cargos que se les imputan\u00bb, y a\u00f1ade, \u00abconfiamos en que el sistema judicial de Estados Unidos<\/strong>concluir\u00e1 que estas acusaciones son totalmente infundadas, y nuestros ejecutivos desean impacientemente probar su inocencia\u00bb.<\/p>\n

Seg\u00fan explica, Luis Riu viaj\u00f3 desde Espa\u00f1a para \u00abpresentarse voluntariamente este lunes ante el juzgado<\/strong>, donde se le presentar\u00edan los cargos, tal y como hab\u00eda sido pactado y coordinado con las autoridades locales<\/strong>\u00ab. Remarca que \u00abes parte del procedimiento habitual que esta lectura se haga con el acusado en pie y tal como se le ha visto en las im\u00e1genes publicadas\u00bb.<\/p>\n

Y concluye que el procedimiento completo fue cuesti\u00f3n de unas horas y el juez no les deneg\u00f3 el permiso para viajar. Ambos ejecutivos \u00abpodr\u00e1n seguir visitando los diferentes destinos internacionales de los hoteles Riu libremente. A partir de hoy mismo, Luis Riu retoma sus actividades normales\u00bb, finaliza el comunicado. La compa\u00f1\u00eda ha informado de que ha pagado una fianza de 20.000 d\u00f3lares (unos 16.000 euros)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Seg\u00fan han recogido varios medios locales, se acusa a los directivos de la cadena de intentar obtener un trato de favor por parte de la Administraci\u00f3n de Miami Beach para que agilizara las licencias para la renovaci\u00f3n de un hotel en la zona.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
