La Procuradur\u00eda Federal de Protecci\u00f3n al Ambiente (Profepa) clausur\u00f3 de manera parcial temporal obras, construcciones y actividades por la instalaci\u00f3n de cuatro palapas en las inmediaciones del Restaurante \u201cLol-Ha Akumal\u201d, ubicado en Akumal, municipio de Tulum, por carecer de autorizaci\u00f3n en materia de Impacto Ambiental.<\/p>\n

La clausura se impuso para evitar un riesgo de da\u00f1os a los recursos naturales, principalmente a los presentes en el \u00e1rea adyacente al predio inspeccionado que corresponde al \u00c1rea de Refugio para Especies Marinas \u201cBah\u00eda de Akumal\u201d, en la que existe agregaci\u00f3n permanente de diversas especies de tortugas y vegetaci\u00f3n marinas.<\/p>\n

Las tortugas marinas que se encuentran en esta \u00e1rea de refugio\u00a0 son la Tortuga Verde o Blanca (Chelonia mydas<\/em>), la Tortuga Carey (Eretmochelys imbricata<\/em>) y la Tortuga Caguama (Caretta caretta<\/em>), todas ellas en especies en Peligro de Extinci\u00f3n de conformidad con la Norma Oficial Mexicana NOM-059-SEMARNAT-2010; adem\u00e1s, por encontrarse en dicha \u00e1rea alta abundancia de pastos marinos y algunos parches de coral.<\/p>\n

Inspectores de Profepa en la entidad se constituyeron en el Restaurante \u201cLol-Ha Akumal\u201d con el prop\u00f3sito de verificar que las obras, construcci\u00f3n y actividades para la colocaci\u00f3n de palapas en las inmediaciones de dicho restaurante, se estuvieran realizando en cumplimiento a la normatividad en materia de impacto ambiental.<\/p>\n

Durante la diligencia de inspecci\u00f3n, se detectaron \u00a0cuatro palapas con apariencia de nuevas; sin que al momento de dicha diligencia el responsable exhibiera \u00a0la autorizaci\u00f3n federal en materia de impacto ambiental, por lo que con fundamento en el art\u00edculo 170, \u00a0fracci\u00f3n I, de la Ley General del Equilibrio Ecol\u00f3gico y la Protecci\u00f3n al Ambiente (Legepa), la Profepa orden\u00f3 imponer \u00a0medida de seguridad consistente en la clausura parcial temporal de las obras, construcciones y actividades para la instalaci\u00f3n de las palapas.<\/p>\n

En virtud de lo anterior, se colocaron los sellos de clausura en las palapas, as\u00ed como \u00a0cinta amarilla con la leyenda de prohibido el paso, para evitar el uso de las mismas.<\/p>\n

Con estas acciones, la Profepa fortalece su compromiso de garantizar la protecci\u00f3n de los recursos naturales y del medio ambiente, a trav\u00e9s de la ejecuci\u00f3n\u00a0 de acciones \u00a0de inspecci\u00f3n y vigilancia para verificar el cumplimiento de la normatividad ambiental aplicable de los desarrollos inmobiliarios en ecosistemas costeros, incluido en ellos las instalaciones de comercios y servicios tur\u00edsticos.<\/p>\n
