La industria hotelera de todo el mundo empieza a hacer quinielas para ver qu\u00e9 establecimientos se har\u00e1n con los World Travel Awards 2018, considerados por muchos como los Oscar del turismo y que este a\u00f1o celebran su 25\u00aa edici\u00f3n. Y en esas apuestas tiene muchas posibilidades Barcel\u00f3 Hotel Group<\/a>, ya que con 33 candidaturas en Europa y Latinoam\u00e9rica se ha convertido en la cadena espa\u00f1ola con m\u00e1s nominaciones.<\/p>\n

As\u00ed 25 hoteles de Espa\u00f1a, M\u00e9xico, Rep\u00fablica Dominicana, Aruba, Bulgaria, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador y Nicaragua, y la propia cadena que est\u00e1 nominada como \u201cMejor cadena hotelera de M\u00e9xico y Centroam\u00e9rica\u201d, optar\u00e1n a un total de 33 posibles premios.<\/p>\n

Entre los hoteles nominados de Europa cabe destacar el recientemente inaugurado Royal Hideaway Corales Resort (Costa Adeje, Tenerife), que tras ser elegido \u201cMejor nuevo hotel de Europa 2018\u201d en los European Hospitality Awards, podr\u00eda obtener ahora el WTA al \u201cMejor nuevo hotel de Europa\u201d y al \u201cMejor hotel de playa de Europa\u201d; La Bobadilla, a Royal Hideaway Hotel (Granada), que ha sido nominado en la categor\u00eda de \u201cMejor Hotel Ecol\u00f3gico de Europa\u201d y el Royal Hideaway Sancti Petri (C\u00e1diz), que lo ha sido en la de \u201cMejor resort de playa de Europa y Espa\u00f1a\u201d. Este hotel ya ha ganado este reconocimiento en ediciones anteriores, as\u00ed como el de \u201cMejor suite de hotel de Espa\u00f1a\u201d por su espectacular suite Presidencial.<\/p>\n

Los hoteles Barcel\u00f3 Raval (Barcelona) y Barcel\u00f3 Torre de Madrid podr\u00edan ser premiados en la categor\u00eda de \u201cMejor Hotel de Dise\u00f1o de Europa\u201d. Este \u00faltimo, dise\u00f1ado por el interiorista espa\u00f1ol Jaime Hay\u00f3n, se inaugur\u00f3 el a\u00f1o pasado en la Plaza de Espa\u00f1a de Madrid y ya ha recibido numerosos reconocimientos tanto nacionales como internacionales, como \u201cMadrid\u2019s coolest design hotel\u201d (The Telegraph), as\u00ed como uno de los mejores \u201cBest Design Hotel 2017\u201d (Wallpaper UK) y \u201cBest Hotel 2017\u201d (Robb Report).<\/p>\n

En lo que respecta a Latinoam\u00e9rica, entre los 11 hoteles nominados, figuran el emblem\u00e1tico El Embajador, a Royal Hideaway Hotel, que acaba de celebrar 62 a\u00f1os con la finalizaci\u00f3n de un ambicioso proceso de reforma que ha supuesto una inversi\u00f3n de m\u00e1s de 40 millones de d\u00f3lares; y el prestigioso Barcel\u00f3 M\u00e9xico Reforma, que fue adquirido por la cadena en 2017.\u00a0El nombre de los ganadores se sabr\u00e1 el 30 de junio, en la gala de entrega de los WTA europeos que tendr\u00e1 lugar en Atenas (Grecia), y el 15 de septiembre cuando se libren los premios correspondientes a Latinoam\u00e9rica en Guayaquil (Ecuador).<\/p>\n

Los premios World Travel Awards<\/a>, que fueron creados en 1993, conceden galardones en m\u00e1s de un centenar de categor\u00edas del sector tur\u00edstico mundial que incluyen hoteles, l\u00edneas a\u00e9reas, agencias de viajes y compa\u00f1\u00edas de alquiler de autos, entre otros.
