Ambiente (<strong>Profepa<\/strong>) clausur\u00f3 un predio de casi siete mil metros cuadrados en la Isla de<strong> Cozumel<\/strong>, al afectar un ecosistema de humedal inundable con presencia de vegetaci\u00f3n de manglar y de selva baja subcaducifolia con asociaci\u00f3n de<strong> Palma Chit.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La zona afectada obedece a la apertura de un camino de acceso a los<strong> ranchos Chakah<\/strong> y <strong>Palancar Centro-Magdalena<\/strong>, ubicado a la altura del kil\u00f3metro 18+244 de la carretera Costera Sur, en la<strong> Isla de Cozumel<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Personal de inspecci\u00f3n de la Profepa atendi\u00f3 una denuncia ciudadana por actividades y trabajos para el cambio de uso de suelo en terrenos forestales, constituy\u00e9ndose en el sitio referido.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-32423\" src=\"http:\/\/l21.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/PROFEPA_Clausura-en-Cozumel-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"728\" height=\"430\" srcset=\"https:\/\/l21.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/PROFEPA_Clausura-en-Cozumel-3.jpg 728w, https:\/\/l21.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/PROFEPA_Clausura-en-Cozumel-3-300x177.jpg 300w, https:\/\/l21.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/PROFEPA_Clausura-en-Cozumel-3-585x346.jpg 585w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 728px) 100vw, 728px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Constat\u00f3 que en el interior del predio visitado se elimin\u00f3 vegetaci\u00f3n natural, mediante el uso de herramientas manuales como machete y motosierra en una superficie de seis mil 843.16 m2 (0.684 hect\u00e1reas).<\/p>\n<p>De sstos, cinco mil metros cuadrados (0.500 hect\u00e1reas), corresponden a vegetaci\u00f3n inundable de selva baja subcaducifolia con asociaci\u00f3n de Palma Chit y 1,843.16 metros cuadrados (0.184 hect\u00e1reas), son de ecosistema de humedal inundable, con presencia de vegetaci\u00f3n de manglar.<\/p>\n<p>Al momento de la visita de inspecci\u00f3n el visitado no acredit\u00f3 tener autorizaci\u00f3n de cambio de uso de suelo en terrenos forestales, otorgada por la autoridad federal normativa competente.<\/p>\n<p>Con fundamento en el art\u00edculo 170 de la Ley General de Equilibrio Ecol\u00f3gico y la Protecci\u00f3n al Ambiente y art\u00edculos 45, fracci\u00f3n X, y 47 del Reglamento Interior de la Secretar\u00eda de Medio Ambiente y Recursos Naturales, se impuso como medida de seguridad la Clausura Total Temporal de las actividades y trabajos de remoci\u00f3n de la cobertura vegetal en el predio inspeccionado.<\/p>\n<p>De acuerdo con lo establecido en los art\u00edculos 157, fracci\u00f3n II, y \u00a0155, fracci\u00f3n VII, de la Ley General de Desarrollo Forestal Sustentable vigente al momento de la visita de inspecci\u00f3n, las infracciones cometidas podr\u00e1n ser sancionadas con la imposici\u00f3n de una multa por el equivalente de 100 a 20,000 veces la Unidad de Medida y Actualizaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Conforme a lo previsto en el art\u00edculo 418 del C\u00f3digo Penal Federal, dichas conductas pueden ser constitutivas de un delito y se podr\u00e1 imponer una pena de seis meses a nueve a\u00f1os de prisi\u00f3n y por el
