Por su parte, los Califas de Bagdad preparaban sharbets, una mezcla de nieve con zumos de fruta cuyo nombre significa bebida.<\/p>\n<p>Helado es un t\u00e9rmino muy general, pues muchas veces se utiliza para hablar de nieves, gelatos o sorbetes. El helado, tal y como lo conocemos actualmente, existi\u00f3 hasta que un cocinero franc\u00e9s mezcl\u00f3 el hielo con leche. Justamente ah\u00ed es donde radica la particularidad del helado.<\/p>\n<p>En M\u00e9xico se reconoce como helado cuando en su preparaci\u00f3n contiene cremas o una base l\u00e1ctea. Por su parte, la nieve generalmente se elabora con jugo de frutas, a base de agua y se mezcla a mano con una pala de madera.<\/p>\n<p>La nieve es parte de la gastronom\u00eda mexicana. Su consumo data de la \u00e9poca prehisp\u00e1nica cuando el rey Moctezuma com\u00eda nieve tra\u00edda del volc\u00e1n Popocat\u00e9petl; sin embargo, de acuerdo con una encuesta, realizada por el Gabinete de Comunicaci\u00f3n Estrat\u00e9gica, 85% de la poblaci\u00f3n mexicana le gusta el helado y lo prefieren m\u00e1s que la nieve.<\/p>\n<p>Otro tipo de \u201chelado\u201d es el gelato, se elabora a menor temperatura que el helado; lleva una base l\u00e1ctea y durante su proceso de elaboraci\u00f3n utiliza una menor cantidad de aire que otras variedades.<\/p>\n<p>La \u00faltima variante es el sorbete, muy similar a la nieve pero con una mezcla de agua y glucosa. Adem\u00e1s tiene una textura muy ligera que permite consumirlo como bebida y agregarle alcohol.<\/p>\n<p>El helado es un alimento importante en toda dieta variada y equilibrada. Su elaboraci\u00f3n a base leche y sus derivados; az\u00facares; grasas vegetales; frutas o saborizantes; huevo y sus derivados lo hace ser un buen complemento, ya que aporta vitaminas, minerales, calor\u00edas y prote\u00ednas.<\/p>\n<p>El sabor que los mexicanos prefieren al momento de comer helado es el chocolate, seguido por la vainilla, fresa, nuez y el napolitano. Adem\u00e1s, gustan de acompa\u00f1arlo con galletas, fruta, cereales, pasteles, pan, bebidas (leche, refresco, en malteada), crepas, gelatinas, chispas, pay, etc.<\/p>\n<p>El 51% de los mexicanos considera que el consumo de helado mejora el estado de \u00e1nimo; es un hecho que los helados crean una sensaci\u00f3n de bienestar y tambi\u00e9n contribuyen a la hidrataci\u00f3n, combaten la sequedad de las v\u00edas respiratorias y facilitan la digesti\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table><\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00bfTe gusta el helado?
