Esta semana se colocar\u00e1 la primera barrera en el litoral marino a la altura de Punta Nizuc en Benito Ju\u00e1rez, con el fin de contener el sargazo que arriba a las costas del estado, posteriormente estas barreras se colocar\u00e1n en Tulum, Playa del Carmen, Mahahual y Puerto Morelos.<\/p>\n

Al respecto, Alfredo Arellano, titular de la Secretar\u00eda de Ecolog\u00eda y Medio Ambiente (SEMA), dijo que se acuerdo con el consenso entre centros de investigaci\u00f3n, acad\u00e9micos y gobierno, la mejor forma de atender la situaci\u00f3n del sargazo es desviarlo y contenerlo en el mar para evitar que llegue a las playas<\/p>\n

\u201cAl devolver la macroalga a las corrientes mediante las barreras evitaremos la llegada excesiva de dicha vegetaci\u00f3n que, cuando hace contacto con la arena de la playa y el paso del tiempo puede ocasionar cambios en el equilibrio de los ecosistemas expuestos. De esta manera garantizamos m\u00e1s y mejores oportunidades para que los quintanarroenses tengan un ambiente sano protegiendo la belleza de nuestras costas\u201d, enfatiz\u00f3.<\/p>\n

Destac\u00f3 que se revisaron las corrientes marinas, las contracorrientes y\u00a0vientos, para hacer un modelaje don el fin de encontrar las zonas m\u00e1s vulnerables y con base a esta informaci\u00f3n se colocar\u00e1 la barrera, misma que estar\u00e1n anclada al subsuelo marino, pero con la posibilidad de retirar para ser utilizada en la pr\u00f3xima temporada de arribo de sargazo.<\/p>\n

Cabe mencionar que se continuar\u00e1 la recolecci\u00f3n de sargazo en las playas; del 19 de junio al 6 de agosto se tiene una recolecci\u00f3n de 124 mil 030 metros c\u00fabicos del alga marina.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
