Gilberto Benetton, cofundador italiano del minorista de ropa italiano Benetton Group, falleci\u00f3 a los 77 a\u00f1os, en Treviso, localidad al norte de Italia.<\/em><\/h1>\n

Gilberto Benetton,\u00a0uno de los fundadores de la marca United Colors of Benetton y responsable de la diversificaci\u00f3n del imperio familiar, muri\u00f3 el lunes por la noche a la edad de 77 a\u00f1os\u00a0<\/strong>a causa de una enfermedad, anunci\u00f3 en la noche el grupo italiano.<\/p>\n

\u00abHab\u00eda sido ingresado en los \u00faltimos d\u00edas en un hospital de Treviso con una pulmon\u00eda<\/strong> y sus condiciones se agravaron en las \u00faltimas horas. Fue acompa\u00f1ado en sus \u00faltimos momentos por su esposa Lalla, sus hijas Barbara y Sabrina y su yerno Ermanno\u00bb, indic\u00f3 un breve comunicado.<\/p>\n

Su muerte ocurre tres meses despu\u00e9s de la de su hermano m\u00e1s joven<\/strong>, Carlo, fallecido en julio a la edad de 74 a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n

Gilberto, con sus hermanos Luciano y Carlo, y su hermana Giuliana, fund\u00f3 la empresa en 1965 en Ponzano Veneto, pueblo del noreste de la pen\u00ednsula.\u00a0A lo largo de su vida fue vicepresidente de empresas<\/strong> como la sociedad Edizione Srl, que en la actualidad posee el 30,25 % del capital de Atlantia; y consejero delegado del Grupo Benetton, Atlantia, Mediobanca, Pirelli & C. y Allianz.<\/p>\n

Padre de dos hijas, Sabrina y Barbara<\/strong>, Gilberto Benetton fue siempre un apasionado del deporte y concretamente del golf, del rugby y del baloncesto<\/strong>, y fue el responsable de la construcci\u00f3n de un centro deportivo en la ciudad de Treviso.<\/p>\n

El \u00e9xito de\u00a0\u00abUnited Colors of Benetton\u00bb<\/em>\u00a0se volvi\u00f3 planetario entre 1982 y 2000 con las campa\u00f1as publicitarias del fot\u00f3grafo Oliviero Toscani.<\/p>\n

Gilberto Benetton era vicepresidente de Edizione srl, holding de la familia Benetton, que realiz\u00f3 en 2017 una cifra de negocios de 12.100 millones de euros.
