Foto: expansi\u00f3n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><strong>Durante el primer semestre de 2018 llegaron a M\u00e9xico aproximadamente 24 millones 300 mil turistas internacionales, un aumento del 5.8% con respecto al mismo periodo del a\u00f1o anterior, seg\u00fan el informe <em><u><a href=\"http:\/\/www.datatur.sectur.gob.mx\/RAT\/RAT-2018-07(ES).pdf\">Resultados de la actividad tur\u00edstica Julio 2018<\/a><\/u><\/em> de la Secretar\u00eda de Turismo.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>El mismo informe especifica que<strong> la derrama econ\u00f3mica de los viajeros internacionales ascendi\u00f3<\/strong> a 13 mil 527 mdd, cifra que representa un incremento de 3.3% con respecto al primer semestre de 2017. Mientras que el porcentaje de ocupaci\u00f3n hotelera en la agrupaci\u00f3n de 70 centros tur\u00edsticos tuvo un registro de 62.8%, una cifra ligeramente menor a la del a\u00f1o pasado cuando alcanz\u00f3 63.4%. De los turistas que ocuparon cuartos de hotel, 72.2% eran nacionales y 27.8% internacionales.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Los visitantes extranjeros provienen en su mayor\u00eda de Estados Unidos por v\u00eda a\u00e9rea<\/strong> (60.5%), mientras que de los pa\u00edses de Am\u00e9rica Latina y el Caribe, Argentina y Colombia fueron los que mayor n\u00famero de llegadas registraron con 2.8% y 2.4% respectivamente. Adem\u00e1s, la Sestur estima que 96% de los turistas extranjeros reserva servicios de transportaci\u00f3n terrestre, principalmente de autobuses, y alojamiento.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAunque <strong>cada a\u00f1o aumenta el n\u00famero de visitantes internacionales<\/strong> por v\u00eda a\u00e9rea, el principal transporte tur\u00edstico es v\u00eda terrestre, ya que 97% de los traslados se realizan en autob\u00fas\u201d, se\u00f1ala Marcus Paiva, director de <u><a href=\"https:\/\/www.clickbus.com.mx\/en\/\">ClickBus<\/a><\/u> M\u00e9xico.<\/p>\n<p>Por su parte, la Secretar\u00eda de Turismo de la Ciudad de M\u00e9xico, en su informe <em><u><a href=\"https:\/\/turismo.cdmx.gob.mx\/storage\/app\/media\/Estadisticas\/Estadisticas%202018\/Indicadores_ENE_MAY_2008-2018.pdf\">Actividad tur\u00edstica de la Ciudad de M\u00e9xico<\/a><\/u><\/em>, <strong>estima que casi 14 millones de turistas fueron transportados por centrales de autobuses<\/strong> de la capital en los primeros cinco meses de 2018; cifra mayor a los 12 millones de pasajeros nacionales que llegaron por el Aeropuerto Internacional de la Ciudad de M\u00e9xico en el mismo periodo.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/l21.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Via-terrestre.jpg\" data-rel=\"penci-gallery-image-content\" ><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-34743\" src=\"http:\/\/l21.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Via-terrestre.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"665\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"https:\/\/l21.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Via-terrestre.jpg 665w, https:\/\/l21.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Via-terrestre-300x226.jpg 300w, https:\/\/l21.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Via-terrestre-585x440.jpg 585w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 665px) 100vw, 665px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Seg\u00fan la Secretar\u00eda de Comunicaciones y Transportes, <strong>el transporte tur\u00edstico terrestre cuenta con un parque vehicular de 56 mil 589 unidades<\/strong>, de las cuales el 64.7% son autobuses de pasajeros.<\/p>\n<p>El turismo en M\u00e9xico es una de las principales actividades econ\u00f3micas, pues es uno de los sectores que m\u00e1s aporta al Producto Interno Bruto (PIB). El Inegi calcula que la aportaci\u00f3n de este sector al PIB es de 8.7%,\u00a0 aunque<strong> el Consejo Mundial de Viajes y Turismo<\/strong> (WTTC, por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s) considera que la
