Ferrero SpA est\u00e1 interesado en comprar el negocio internacional de Campbell Soup Co, que incluye a la marca de galletas Arnott’s, dijeron este lunes dos fuentes cercanas al asunto.<\/strong><\/p>\n

El grupo italiano con sede en la regi\u00f3n de Piamonte<\/strong> est\u00e1 trabajando en un posible acuerdo con Rothschild como asesores, afirm\u00f3 una de las fuentes, que confirm\u00f3 un reporte previo del diario italiano\u00a0Il Sole 24 Ore.\u00a0<\/i>Seg\u00fan el peri\u00f3dico, el negocio podr\u00eda tener un valor superior a los 2,000 millones de d\u00f3lares.<\/p>\n

Campbell comenz\u00f3 al proceso de vender sus unidades internacionales y de alimentos frescos refrigerados en agosto tras una revisi\u00f3n estrat\u00e9gica, siguiendo el ejemplo de otros fabricantes de alimentos envasados, como Kraft Heinz Co y Kellogg Co, que han vendido algunas de sus marcas.<\/p>\n

Recientemente, Campbell puso fin a una disputa de varios meses con el fondo de cobertura Third Point LLC, del multimillonario Daniel Loeb, que hab\u00eda presionado a la empresa para que se vendiera.<\/p>\n

La firma dijo el mes pasado que las unidades que puso a la venta han atra\u00eddo un fuerte inter\u00e9s de posibles compradores.<\/p>\n

El segmento operacional de las galletas y bocadillos internacionales de Campbell tambi\u00e9n incluye a Kelsen Group, junto a las operaciones de manufactura de la compa\u00f1\u00eda en Indonesia, Malasia y a sus negocios en Hong Kong y Jap\u00f3n.<\/p>\n
