el mercado mexicano tendr\u00e1 m\u00e1s producto disponible y a un \u201cmejor precio\u201d, asegur\u00f3 el subsecretario de Industria y Comercio de la&nbsp;<strong>Secretar\u00eda de Econom\u00eda (SE)<\/strong>, Ernesto Acevedo Fern\u00e1ndez.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cNo necesariamente habr\u00e1 una sobreoferta\u201d, consider\u00f3 el funcionario, despu\u00e9s de que el Departamento de Comercio de Estados Unidos anunciara este martes la eliminaci\u00f3n del acuerdo y la imposici\u00f3n de una cuota compensatoria de 17.5% a las exportaciones mexicanas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tras ofrecer una conferencia de prensa en la que anunciaron la novena edici\u00f3n de El Buen Fin, Acevedo Fern\u00e1ndez se\u00f1al\u00f3 que con esa medida se empezar\u00e1 a destinar parte de la producci\u00f3n \u201cde una manera relativamente m\u00e1s grande al mercado dom\u00e9stico\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El tomate es el tercer producto agr\u00edcola de exportaci\u00f3n de M\u00e9xico, despu\u00e9s de la cerveza y el aguacate, y uno de cada dos tomates consumidos en Estados Unidos son de origen mexicano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La producci\u00f3n nacional registr\u00f3 un incremento de 22.2% de 2012 a 2017, al pasar de dos millones 838,370 toneladas a tres millones 469,707 toneladas, seg\u00fan cifras del Servicio de Informaci\u00f3n Agroalimentaria y Pesquera (SIAP).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sinaloa, San Luis Potos\u00ed, Michoac\u00e1n, Jalisco y Zacatecas son las cinco entidades que m\u00e1s aportan a la producci\u00f3n de hortaliza en el pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La industria de tomate ha realizado inversiones significativas desde la implementaci\u00f3n del&nbsp;<strong>Tratado de Libre Comercio de Am\u00e9rica del Norte (TLCAN)<\/strong>, a fin de convertirse en un sector altamente competitivo, donde en 2018 se export\u00f3 cerca de dos millones de d\u00f3lares al otro lado de la frontera norte de M\u00e9xico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El presidente de la Confederaci\u00f3n de C\u00e1maras de Comercio, Servicios y Turismo (<strong>Concanaco-Servytur<\/strong>), Jos\u00e9 Manuel L\u00f3pez Campos, estim\u00f3 que la medida de Estados Unidos est\u00e1 m\u00e1s fundamentada en una decisi\u00f3n pol\u00edtica que econ\u00f3mica-comercial, \u201cy debe ser ajustada cuando se empiece a dar la ratificaci\u00f3n (del&nbsp;<strong>T-MEC<\/strong>) ante los respectivos
