A veces no todo es lo que parece y aunque corrieron rumores del posible cierre del Riviera Canc\u00fan Golf & Resorts, que cuenta con el respaldo del grupo Palace Resorts, de la familia Chapur, y la firma del legendario Jack Nicklaus, se confirma que el sitio se mantiene en stand by, debido a trabajos de mantenimiento.<\/p>\n

En boca del propio Jos\u00e9 Chapur, el campo de golf de m\u00e1s de siete mil yardas y 18 hoyos, recibe una manita de gato intensiva, como parte de los trabajos anuales de mantenimiento que requiere un complejo deportivo-tur\u00edstico de\u00a0 esta naturaleza, entre ellos mejora de caminos y aplicaci\u00f3n de nutrientes.<\/p>\n

Una vez que concluya la labor, en la que desde luego se invierte una cantidad importante de recursos, el campo de golf, que por cierto tiene un rating de 76.2, un slope de 146, un ondulante juego en fairways y greenes de madera y una par de hoyos a la orilla del mar, podr\u00eda estar listo y operando para finales de este mismo a\u00f1o, justo para el inicio de la temporada alta de turismo.<\/p>\n

Aunque dicen no saber de d\u00f3nde o por qu\u00e9 surgi\u00f3 el rumor del posible cierre del campo, lo tomar\u00e1n como tal, aunque a pregunta expresa sobre la falta de apoyo y promoci\u00f3n\u00a0 al\u00a0 segmento, que en Quintana Roo tiene millonarias inversiones, prefirieron mantenerse al margen de comentarios.<\/p>\n
