El Canc\u00fan Center Conventions & Exhibitions, que en diciembre pr\u00f3ximo cumplir\u00e1 10 a\u00f1os en operaci\u00f3n, invertir\u00e1 18 mdp para realizar trabajos de mantenimiento y remodelaciones de menor envergadura dentro del\u00a0 inmueble con el fin de adecuarse a las exigencias del mercado actual.<\/p>\n

Javier G\u00e1mez Bautista, director del recinto, coment\u00f3\u00a0 que para 2014 este espacio ser\u00e1 sede de siete congresos internacionales y cinco nacionales, que en conjunto representan 33 mil 900 participantes, eventos que dejar\u00e1n una derrama econ\u00f3mica del orden de 45 mdd, cifra superior en 62% a los 28 mdd previstos para el cierre de 2013. A lo largo de casi una d\u00e9cada el inmueble\u00a0 gan\u00f3 y oper\u00f3 39 congresos internacionales que representaron 83 mil 553 participantes y una contribuci\u00f3n en divisas para M\u00e9xico de 204 mdd.<\/p>\n

\u201cBajo la nueva administraci\u00f3n a cargo de la empresa Congresos y Convenciones de Canc\u00fan, nuestro objetivo es permanecer como l\u00edder en el mercado de congresos internacionales\u201d, destac\u00f3.<\/p>\n

Asimismo se anunci\u00f3 la\u00a0 pr\u00f3xima apertura de una tienda institucional del museo en la que se ofrecer\u00e1n artesan\u00edas de comunidades mayas y empresas de la regi\u00f3n, as\u00ed como el trabajo de certificaci\u00f3n del Canc\u00fan Center en los distintivos H para manejo higi\u00e9nico de alimentos, Moderniza (M), la certificaci\u00f3n plata Earth Check por el manejo responsable de agentes contaminantes y Empresa Familiarmente Responsable.<\/p>\n
