El reconocimiento se cre\u00f3 para rendir tributo p\u00fablico a los empresarios, ejecutivos hoteleros y restauranteros que por su dedicaci\u00f3n contribuyen con la industria tur\u00edstica nacional. Cada a\u00f1o el proceso de selecci\u00f3n de los candidatos se realiza a trav\u00e9s de los\u00a0 asociados de AMAIT, quienes formulan sus ternas y al final eligen a quien re\u00fane los requisitos para tal distinci\u00f3n, misma que se entrega en el marco de la inauguraci\u00f3n de Abastur. Jos\u00e9 Antonio (Pepe) Rivera es un hotelero experimentado que goza de\u00a0 prestigio en la industria y ha colaborado para el sector en M\u00e9xico por m\u00e1s de 38
