<\/a><\/figure><\/li><\/ul><\/figure>\n\n\n\nA<\/strong>plazado durante meses por la pandemia, finalmente se realiz\u00f3 el Bupa Championship, el octavo y \u00faltimo evento de la temporada 2020-21 de PGA TOUR Latinoam\u00e9rica, que esta vez fue en la Riviera Maya, concretamente en Tulum.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Patrick Newcomb se coron\u00f3 campe\u00f3n del torneo, pero no la tuvo f\u00e1cil, pues la ronda final fue de m\u00e1s de seis horas y el estadounidense tuvo que jugar un desempate de dos hoyos con el local Oscar Fraustro. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Con un espl\u00e9ndido escenario, en el campo de Golf PGA Riviera Maya, ubicado dentro del residencial Tulum Country Club, el gran triunfador de 31 a\u00f1os recibi\u00f3 el trofeo de manos del encargado de la Secretar\u00eda de Turismo de Quintana Roo, Andr\u00e9s Aguilar y de Fernando Lled\u00f3, director de Bupa M\u00e9xico, tras m\u00e1s de 6 horas de juego y un desempate de dos hoyos con Oscar Fraustro, ambos jugadores terminaron los 72 hoyos regulares con globales individuales de 283 golpes, 5-bajo par.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jornada segura<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
Pero m\u00e1s all\u00e1 del ganador y las emociones en el green<\/em>, lo verdadero importante es c\u00f3mo poco a poco todos los segmentos de la industria tur\u00edstica van recobrando actividades en el Caribe Mexicano, lo cual s\u00f3lo es posible gracias a los protocolos estrictos en materia sanitaria, lo cual es reconocido por propios y extra\u00f1os. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
En el tercer lugar finaliz\u00f3 Jeremy Gandon, el cuarto Andrew Alligood y en quinto Ben Cook. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Brandon Matthews termin\u00f3 el torneo como puntero del listado de puntos, convirti\u00e9ndose en el jugador del a\u00f1o y llev\u00e1ndose a casa el trofeo Roberto de Vicenzo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Emocionante jornada<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
Durante cuatro d\u00edas se disput\u00f3 este torneo de 72 hoyos, que cierra la temporada que comenz\u00f3 en marzo de 2020 con el Estrella del Mar Open en Mazatl\u00e1n. Justo al concluir aquel evento, la pandemia oblig\u00f3 al PGA TOUR Latinoam\u00e9rica a interrumpir su temporada por nueve meses, reinici\u00e1ndola en diciembre de 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
En representaci\u00f3n del gobernador, el director del Consejo de Promoci\u00f3n Tur\u00edstica de Quintana Roo, Dar\u00edo Flota, asisti\u00f3 a la ceremonia de premiaci\u00f3n de los 10 mejores jugadores de la temporada 2020-2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Felicit\u00f3 a los organizadores y agradeci\u00f3 la confianza de PGA Tour Latinoam\u00e9rica. Reconoci\u00f3 el trabajo de todos los que hicieron posible el gran \u00e9xito de este evento; los apoyos, la confianza de los jugadores y de todos los que trabajan alrededor. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fernando Padr\u00f3n, director General de golf PGA Riviera Maya, fue el encargado de dar la bienvenida a esta final a todos los invitados, siendo la primera vez que esta final se juega en territorio mexicano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
La premiaci\u00f3n se llev\u00f3 a cabo en el hoyo n\u00famero 9 del campo ejecutivo de PGA Riviera Maya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
