que cumple con un doble prop\u00f3sito: generar ingresos en sectores necesitados y promover la conservaci\u00f3n del medio ambiente y el aprovechamiento del sargazo<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Q<\/strong>ue afea el mar Caribe, que impacta al turismo, que da\u00f1a las playas e incluso que afecta a varias especies de seres vivos, incluyendo al ser humano. Estos son los comentarios recurrentes acerca del sargazo, ese visitante inc\u00f3modo que en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os llega de forma masiva a las costas de Quintana Roo. Sin embargo, el recale de la macroalga significa oportunidades y ya gener\u00f3 varios emprendimientos, uno de ellos, que ha tenido muy buena aceptaci\u00f3n, es Biomaya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Este movimiento surge gracias a la iniciativa de Erick Parker, un joven playense que a sus 21 a\u00f1os, se ha ganado un lugar como impulsor de estrategias ecologistas y proyectos de otros emprendedores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Respaldo cient\u00edfico<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A ra\u00edz del recale masivo de la macroalga, en 2018 empez\u00f3 a investigar \u201cpara ver si de verdad era tan malo\u201d; acudi\u00f3 con laboratorios en Canc\u00fan, Playa del Carmen y Morelia. Descubri\u00f3 que este desecho marino trae muchos nutrientes que lo convierten en un valioso hidratante para productos cosm\u00e9ticos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Entonces poco a poco fue madurando la idea, \u201cbuscamos cambiar la perspectiva de ver el sargazo a una manera positiva, generando fuentes de ingreso para las amas de casa, apoyando la limpieza y conservaci\u00f3n de las playas\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Incluso, descubri\u00f3 que en ciudades de Chile o China lo consumen; \u201cno es malo, lo que pasa es que no sabemos c\u00f3mo manejarlo; pero nosotros vimos esa amenaza como una oportunidad\u201d.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Crearon un producto hecho por amas de casa de comunidades mayas, en Sahcab Mucuy, Tulum, cerca de Cob\u00e1, para darles una fuente de ingreso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ahora, en una segunda etapa, ya trasladaron esta oportunidad a mujeres de Playa del Carmen que viven en colonias (Colosio y Villas del Sol) donde ellas o sus parejas se quedaron sin empleo a ra\u00edz de la pandemia y que por tanto est\u00e1n en situaci\u00f3n de vulnerabilidad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Las apoyan a que obtengan recursos econ\u00f3micos desde sus casas, donde pueden continuar cuidando de sus hijos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAs\u00ed que tenemos tres puntos muy importantes en Biomaya: ayudamos a la limpieza y conservaci\u00f3n de playas, creamos fuentes de ingreso para amas de casa y promovemos la cultura del reciclaje, porque el empaque es hecho a partir de pl\u00e1sticos que recogemos en la limpieza de los arenales, a fin de que no haya un mayor consumo de este tipo de materiales, sino el que ya fue usado y tirado\u201d, destaca Erick.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Aval de Cofepris<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despu\u00e9s de los estudios correspondientes y varias pruebas, obtuvieron el permiso de la Cofepris y hace seis meses sacaron al mercado los jabones, que han tenido muy buena aceptaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYa estamos a nivel nacional, llegamos a siete estados, muchos hoteles, spas, e incluso negocios que no tienen nada que ver con cosm\u00e9ticos, como zapater\u00edas; hay universidades, hospitales y centros \u00f3pticos que quieren ser parte de este proyecto con doble prop\u00f3sito\u201d, destaca.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Proceso y presentaci\u00f3n<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Se\u00f1ala que recogen el sargazo a mano, para que no lleve tanta arena; luego lo lavan para quitarle los contaminantes que haya arrastrado con la corriente. La arena que retiran la devuelven al mar.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De base son siete personas, m\u00e1s 15 amas de casa que realizan el trabajo artesanal; contando puntos de venta y distribuidoras, suman alrededor de 100 personas involucradas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aclara que no usan el sargazo como tal, sino el extracto, obtenido con una m\u00e1quina de vac\u00edo que lo macera para separar el l\u00edquido del s\u00f3lido. Despu\u00e9s le agregan el aroma: miel, rosas y coco; al final, le colocan una hoja de sargazo como decoraci\u00f3n y s\u00edmbolo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cCuando las personas lo ven en hoteles, spas o cualquier negocio, les llama la atenci\u00f3n porque no se imaginan que algo que consideran nocivo y que apesta en la playa, se puede convertir en un producto bueno, que huele bien y sirve para hidratar la piel y como antiarrugas\u201d, destaca Erick.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tienen puntos de venta en M\u00e9rida, Holbox, Bacalar, Veracruz, Ciudad de M\u00e9xico, Villahermosa, e incluso Monterrey y Baja California. \u201ctristemente donde menos estamos es en Tulum y Canc\u00fan, destinos donde hay mucho problema de sargazo\u201d, lamenta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hasta ahora no tienen apoyo de autoridades, pero s\u00ed de empresas que creyeron en el proyecto y les donaron herramientas para limpiar playas; \u201ccada vez se suman m\u00e1s personas a la limpieza\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Se\u00f1ala que adem\u00e1s del jab\u00f3n s\u00f3lido, ya est\u00e1 en proceso de estudios uno l\u00edquido, un bloqueador solar y materiales para construcci\u00f3n, asfalto y un impermeabilizante.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adem\u00e1s de los laboratorios privados con los que trabajan, buscan reconocimiento de la UNAM.&nbsp;
