Andrea Viacaba, capit\u00e1n de la embarcaci\u00f3n Carnival Imagination, quien visita desde hace\u00a0 24 a\u00f1os la isla al mando de los cruceros de la naviera Carnival Cruise Line, recibi\u00f3 de manos del presidente municipal, Freddy Marrufo Mart\u00edn, un reconocimiento y la distinci\u00f3n como \u201cAmigo de Cozumel\u201d.<\/p>\n

El edil reconoci\u00f3 la destacada trayectoria y labor del Capit\u00e1n Viacaba, luego de tocar puerto en la isla a bordo del nav\u00edo de bandera estadounidense con dos mil 60 pasajeros y m\u00e1s de mil tripulantes.<\/p>\n

En la ceremonia de entrega, Marrufo Mart\u00edn subray\u00f3 que Cozumel es un destino con vocaci\u00f3n para el turismo de cruceros desde hace m\u00e1s de 20 a\u00f1os, \u201cpor ello podemos decir que usted nos ha acompa\u00f1ado durante este largo camino y su esfuerzo tiene gran significado para este destino, pues permite consolidarnos como l\u00edder nacional en el segmento\u201d.<\/p>\n

Enfatiz\u00f3 que este logro no se hubiera alcanzado, si empresas como la Carnival Cruise Line no hubiese apostado a Cozumel como destino tur\u00edstico, que ofrece las bellezas de sus playas, atractivos culturales y la calidez de la gente.<\/p>\n

\u201cQuiero reconocer, a nombre de todos los habitantes de Cozumel su confianza en la isla y\u00a0 mantener durante m\u00e1s de 20 a\u00f1os a Cozumel como parte de esta ruta. Hoy pueden estar seguros que los turistas que vienen a este destino, tendr\u00e1n la mejor experiencia de viaje y se llevar\u00e1n inolvidables recuerdos en sus corazones\u201d, expres\u00f3 el alcalde<\/p>\n

El Capit\u00e1n Andrea Viacava naci\u00f3 el ocho de enero de 1953 en Camogli, Italia, cerca de G\u00e9nova; es casado, tiene tres hijos y en la actualidad tiene su residencia en la ciudad de Miami, Florida, Estados Unidos. Tiene 14 a\u00f1os como Capit\u00e1n Comandante y 24 a\u00f1os visitando Cozumel, siendo el capit\u00e1n m\u00e1s antiguo entre todos los tripulantes que llegan a\u00a0 la isla en los cruceros.<\/p>\n
