Cozumel se afianza como la isla del deporte, pues despu\u00e9s de la llegada del Ironman completo, se han ido sumando al calendario de esta disciplina el Ironman 70.3, el Mayanman y el Ultra 355 al calendario de triatlones que se llevan a cabo en esta \u00ednsula.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En la reciente edici\u00f3n del Ironman 70.3, el argentino Lucciano Taccone y la espa\u00f1ola Gurutze Frades se consagraron campeones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La etapa de nataci\u00f3n se realiz\u00f3 en el Parque Chankanaab, con la participaci\u00f3n de m\u00e1s de 2 mil 500 triatletas de 42 pa\u00edses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Taccone fue el primero en arribar a la meta tras completar los 1.9 kil\u00f3metros de nado, 90 km de ciclismo y 21 km (medio marat\u00f3n) de los que consta esta competencia deportiva conocida tambi\u00e9n como medio Ironman, con un tiempo oficial de tres horas, 43 minutos y 48 segundos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Detr\u00e1s del campe\u00f3n, complet\u00f3 el recorrido su compatriota Flavio Morandini, con lo que argentina hizo el 1-2 en esta und\u00e9cima edici\u00f3n del Mazda Ironman Cozumel, en la que el estadounidense Marc Dubrick complet\u00f3 el p\u00f3dium de ganadores al ubicarse en la tercera posici\u00f3n. En esta categor\u00eda \u201c\u00e9lite\u201d de la rama varonil, Joaqu\u00edn Pereda fue el mexicano mejor ubicado, al arribar en el quinto lugar con crono de tres horas 57 minutos y 34 segundos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En tanto que en la rama femenil categor\u00eda \u201c\u00e9lite\u201d, la espa\u00f1ola Gurutze Frades complet\u00f3 las tres etapas en un tiempo oficial de cuatro horas 13 minutos y 46 segundos, flanqueada por la estadounidense Amy Cimerman y la mexicana Palmira \u00c1lvarez.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
