Esto no hubiera sido posible sin la colaboraci\u00f3n del Gobierno del Estado de Quintana Roo, Municipio de Cozumel, la Fundaci\u00f3n de parques y Museos de la Isla de Cozumel, Centro Cultural Ixchel, Instituto de la Cultura y las Artes, la 15\u00ba zona naval, as\u00ed como a las capitan\u00edas de puerto.<\/p>\n
La Traves\u00eda Sagrada representa el esfuerzo de Grupo Xcaret para visibilizar y difundir una tradici\u00f3n prehisp\u00e1nica que dej\u00f3 de realizarse durante m\u00e1s de cinco siglos. Es una pr\u00e1ctica encontrada en las fuentes hist\u00f3ricas que recrea las traves\u00edas mar\u00edtimas que se considera llevaban a cabo los antiguos mayas, posiblemente para rendir culto a la diosa de la luna y la fertilidad, Ixchel, partiendo del puerto de Pol\u00e9 (hoy Xcaret) para arribar a Cuzamil (hoy Cozumel).<\/p>\n
La traves\u00eda es una manifestaci\u00f3n cultural recuperada que est\u00e1 basada en elementos arqueol\u00f3gicos que Grupo Xcaret ha podido investigar y recrear, compartiendo la visi\u00f3n de especialistas que nos invitan a asomarnos a lo que pudo haber sido el mundo maya Prehisp\u00e1nico mediante esta propuesta art\u00edstica y cultural, desde hace ya quince a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n
