\nPuerto Morelos, Quintana Roo, 22 de junio de 2023.- La presidenta municipal Blanca Merari Tziu Mu\u00f1oz entreg\u00f3 hoy reconocimientos a los profesores investigadores del Tecnol\u00f3gico Nacional de M\u00e9xico, campus Canc\u00fan, que participaron en el Conversatorio \u201cDesarrollo Sustentable en Quintana Roo, Caso Ruta de los Cenotes\u201d, organizado en la Sala de Cabildo.
\nEn este marco, la Alcaldesa destac\u00f3 que los especialistas aportaron datos sumamente reveladores en materia medioambiental, por lo que reiter\u00f3 que en Puerto Morelos se ha pasado a la acci\u00f3n para proteger los recursos naturales del municipio, trabajando en objetivos espec\u00edficos.
\n\u201cTenemos que hacer conciencia, especialmente ante la riqueza natural con la que contamos, como es el caso de la Ruta de los Cenotes, s\u00f3lo por mencionar una zona del municipio, en la necesidad de modificar el consumo energ\u00e9tico, trabajar en la agricultura ecol\u00f3gica, reducir el uso de papel, evitar imprimir documentos que pueden leerse en la pantalla, entre muchas otras tareas que, en suma, llevan la sustentabilidad a la pr\u00e1ctica diaria\u201d, expuso.
\nAcompa\u00f1ada por el secretario municipal de Turismo Sustentable, Miguel C\u00e1mara Ruiz, y la regidora Adriana Nava G\u00f3mez, quien preside la Comisi\u00f3n de Turismo en el Cabildo, reiter\u00f3 que es urgente cuidar el agua, ahorrar energ\u00eda, reducir residuos, impulsar el uso de reciclables, limitar la utilizaci\u00f3n de pl\u00e1sticos, impulsar el transporte sostenible, la reutilizaci\u00f3n del papel y, muy especialmente, cuidar la flora y la fauna.
\n\u201cPor eso la importancia de eventos como este Conversatorio, que tienen el prop\u00f3sito de que tanto nuestros servidores p\u00fablicos, prestadores de servicios y la sociedad en general, se sumen a las tareas de prevenci\u00f3n y protecci\u00f3n, ya que es necesario sensibilizarnos sobre el tema para apoyar las pol\u00edticas p\u00fablicas\u201d, explic\u00f3.
\nBlanca Merari Tziu reafirm\u00f3 que Puerto Morelos va por el camino correcto, el del compromiso con el medio ambiente, as\u00ed como el trabajo coordinado para hacer del desarrollo sostenible una estrategia paralela al crecimiento y consolidaci\u00f3n de las actividades tur\u00edsticas y econ\u00f3micas, en beneficio de la gente.
\nPor su parte, Miguel C\u00e1mara Ruiz destac\u00f3 la importancia del Conversatorio, no s\u00f3lo para el municipio sino para todo el Estado, ya que se presentaron resultados de investigaciones que ayudar\u00e1n a generar nuevas pol\u00edticas p\u00fablicas en materia de crecimiento y desarrollo ordenados.
\nDurante el conversatorio, moderado por Omar Alpuche, asesor en materia de turismo, participaron los Doctores Elisa Guill\u00e9n Arguelles, Kennedy Obombo Magio y Hermelindo Chi Poot, profesores investigadores del Tecnol\u00f3gico Nacional de M\u00e9xico, campus Canc\u00fan.
