\nLeona Vicario, Puerto Morelos, Quintana Roo, 23 de junio de 2023.- La suma de esfuerzos es clave para hacer frente a los fen\u00f3menos clim\u00e1ticos, remarc\u00f3 la alcaldesa Blanca Merari Tziu Mu\u00f1oz, al instalar el Subcomit\u00e9 Operativo Municipal para la Temporada de Lluvias y Ciclones Tropicales 2023 en esta comunidad.
\n\u201cComo bien sabemos, en junio llega la temporada de ciclones y huracanes en el Atl\u00e1ntico y el Caribe y, como lo se\u00f1alaba hace unos d\u00edas (durante la instalaci\u00f3n del Comit\u00e9 Municipal, en la Sala de Cabildo), en este a\u00f1o el pron\u00f3stico es que ser\u00e1 de gran impacto, porque se prev\u00e9 un incremento en su intensidad, como resultado del cambio clim\u00e1tico\u201d, coment\u00f3 la Alcaldesa durante el evento que tuvo lugar en la biblioteca municipal \u201cPablo Pancardo\u201d.
\nRecord\u00f3 que el fen\u00f3meno de \u201cEl Ni\u00f1o\u201d y las temperaturas de la superficie del mar son factores que influyen en el pron\u00f3stico mencionado, por tanto, hay que permanecer alertas, a trav\u00e9s de la puesta en marcha de protocolos de seguridad preventiva, que permiten una eficaz y oportuna atenci\u00f3n, ante posibles contingencias.
\n\u201cA pesar de lo familiar que nos resultan lluvia y huracanes, no podemos confiarnos, por el contrario, la experiencia nos debe llevar a mejores sistemas de prevenci\u00f3n. Estoy segura que tendremos \u00e9xito en el trabajo a desarrollar en beneficio y protecci\u00f3n de nuestra poblaci\u00f3n\u201d, remarc\u00f3 Blanca Merari.
\nPor su parte, Guillermo Morales L\u00f3pez, coordinador municipal de Protecci\u00f3n Civil, se\u00f1al\u00f3 que hoy, con la instalaci\u00f3n de este Subcomit\u00e9, se cumple un protocolo de seguridad que permitir\u00e1 ir un paso adelante en caso de cualquier emergencia por alg\u00fan cicl\u00f3n tropical.
\nSin embargo, destac\u00f3 que la autoprotecci\u00f3n es la base de la seguridad familiar y comunitaria y que el esfuerzo del gobierno siempre estar\u00e1 incompleto si la gente no colabora. Asimismo, record\u00f3 que la temporada de huracanes abarca de junio a noviembre y que los meses de mayor riesgo son septiembre y octubre.
\nLa Delegaci\u00f3n cuenta con 8 refugios que ya fueron inspeccionados y deber\u00e1n ser prove\u00eddos y administrados con el apoyo de los subcomit\u00e9s correspondientes.
\nEn su mensaje, el delegado municipal Limbert Cruz Pancardo destac\u00f3 que Leona Vicario cuenta con una gran cultura de la prevenci\u00f3n, lo que ha ayudado a mitigar los embates de la naturaleza a lo largo de los a\u00f1os, gracias a la implementaci\u00f3n, precisamente, de estrategias y acciones a trav\u00e9s de estos Subcomit\u00e9s.
