\nPuerto Morelos, Quintana Roo, 27 de agosto de 2023.\u2014 Puerto Morelos report\u00f3 un crecimiento en el sector turismo en el periodo julio de 2021 al mismo mes de este a\u00f1o, derivado de la promoci\u00f3n de los atractivos del municipio, el fortalecimiento de la infraestructura tur\u00edstica y la confianza de los empresarios del ramo, manifest\u00f3 el secretario municipal de Turismo, Miguel C\u00e1mara Ruiz.
\nEl funcionario explic\u00f3 que, si bien a\u00fan no se tiene informaci\u00f3n del bimestre julio-agosto de este a\u00f1o, las estad\u00edsticas de la Asociaci\u00f3n de Hoteles y del Consejo de Promoci\u00f3n Tur\u00edstica de Quintana Roo muestran un crecimiento de 9.23 por ciento en la ocupaci\u00f3n hotelera en los dos primeros a\u00f1os de la actual administraci\u00f3n municipal.
\nAunque a partir de marzo de este a\u00f1o se dio una baja en la ocupaci\u00f3n, desde el comienzo del actual gobierno municipal pas\u00f3 del 69 por ciento al 76 por ciento hasta julio de este a\u00f1o.
\nA manera de ejemplo, coment\u00f3 que, de julio de 2021 a junio de 2022 la ocupaci\u00f3n fue del 63.90 por ciento, en tanto que, en el mismo periodo, pero de 2022 a 2023 lleg\u00f3 al 84 por ciento; en julio-agosto de los mismos a\u00f1os creci\u00f3 de 57.70 por ciento a 76.70 por ciento.<\/p>\n

\nAsimismo, se\u00f1al\u00f3 que, si bien no se tiene informaci\u00f3n detallada sobre la afluencia de visitantes, se calcula que ha crecido un 8.78 por ciento. Las estad\u00edsticas disponibles indican que diciembre de 2022 y enero del presente a\u00f1o fueron hist\u00f3ricamente los mejores meses en cuanto a llegada de turistas, con 91 mil 482 y 91 mil 248, respectivamente.
\nA la par, de julio de 2021 a julio de 2023 la infraestructura hotelera tuvo un crecimiento de 2.01 por ciento, al pasar el n\u00famero de habitaciones de 7 mil 057 a 7 mil 199, precis\u00f3. Eso benefici\u00f3 tambi\u00e9n a otros prestadores de servicios, como restauranteros y el sector n\u00e1utico.
\nPor \u00faltimo, consider\u00f3 que, luego de la pandemia de covid-19 comenz\u00f3 una paulatina recuperaci\u00f3n del turismo, gracias al impulso que recibi\u00f3 el sector de la administraci\u00f3n de la presidenta municipal Blanca Merari Tziu Mu\u00f1oz.
\n\u201cTambi\u00e9n influyeron factores como el cierre de otros destinos tur\u00edsticos, cuya apertura se retras\u00f3 mucho, lo cual nos benefici\u00f3, y el hecho de que somos el principal destino para el turismo de aventura.
