Canc\u00fan.- Quintana Roo, y en particular Canc\u00fan, reafirma su liderazgo tur\u00edstico y se posiciona como uno de los destinos m\u00e1s importantes del mundo en materia de eventos deportivos, expres\u00f3 la gobernadora Mara Lezama Espinosa al anunciar que esta ciudad ser\u00e1 sede de las finales de la Women\u2019s Tennis Association (WTA), uno de los eventos m\u00e1s importantes del mundo del tenis femenil y en el que competir\u00e1n las 8 mejores jugadoras del mundo.<\/p>\n

Mara Lezama a\u00f1adi\u00f3 que \u201ceste tipo de eventos de tipo mundial ponen a Quintana Roo en los ojos del mundo, lo que contribuye a que lleguen m\u00e1s turistas, haya m\u00e1s empleo, derrama econ\u00f3mica, y que el \u00e9xito tur\u00edstico se refleje en los bolsillos de los trabajadores, uno de los muchos objetivos del Nuevo Acuerdo por el Bienestar y Desarrollo\u201d.<\/p>\n

La primera mujer gobernadora de Quintana Roo dio a conocer que se ha preparado con esmero cada detalle, para asegurar que tanto jugadoras como espectadores vivan una experiencia inigualable. \u201cAdem\u00e1s de disfrutar del mejor tenis femenino del mundo, los asistentes podr\u00e1n sumergirse en la riqueza cultural y natural de Canc\u00fan. Desde nuestras playas, hasta nuestra historia maya; Canc\u00fan es el escenario perfecto para este evento global\u201d, expres\u00f3 la gobernadora.<\/p>\n

Esta final se jugar\u00e1 del 29 de octubre al 5 de noviembre pr\u00f3ximos. La prestigiosa final de fin de a\u00f1o presenta a las 8 mejores jugadoras de individuales y equipos de dobles en la Race hacia las finales de la WTA.<\/p>\n

Para este certamen a\u00fan no se define quienes ser\u00e1n las 8 tenistas que participar\u00e1n en las finales en Canc\u00fan, ya que el ranking mundial de la WTA a\u00fan puede moverse, pero por lo pronto se espera figuras de jugadoras como Aryna Sabalenka, Iga Swiatek, Yelena Rybakina, Jessica Pegula, Cori \u201cCoco\u201d Gauff, Mark\u00e9ta Vondrousova, Ons Jabeur y Karol\u00edna Muchov\u00e1.<\/p>\n

Los directivos de la WTA sopesaron las ofertas competitivas para elegir la sede, en consulta con el Consejo de Jugadoras. Explicaron que las elecciones de sedes y asociaciones se basan en m\u00faltiples factores, incluida la log\u00edstica de las jugadoras, la accesibilidad a los viajes, la capacidad de las sedes y el compromiso de apoyar y exhibir el tenis femenino.<\/p>\n

Es importante mencionar tambi\u00e9n el WTA Finals es uno de los cert\u00e1menes m\u00e1s importantes del tenis a nivel mundial y es el cierre del a\u00f1o para el tenis femenino del m\u00e1ximo nivel y s\u00f3lo compiten las mejores, adem\u00e1s de que es el regreso de este certamen a M\u00e9xico, ya que en el 2021 se realiz\u00f3 en Guadalajara, Jalisco.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
