Canc\u00fan, Q. Roo (Junio \u00a02014)<\/strong>\u00a0La Oficina de Visitantes y Convenciones de Canc\u00fan (OVC) invit\u00f3 a un grupo de periodistas de Estados Unidos a un fam de prensa para conocer las m\u00edsticas tradiciones mayas y la belleza submarina del Caribe Mexicano.<\/p>\n

Los colaboradores de destacados medios como\u00a0Frommers.com<\/a>, Accent & Forum, 2Backpackers, Global Gastros, Big Earth, HuffPost, Newsday, Yahoo Travel, CNN, CNBC, E! XM, \u00a0AAA Going Places, ABC News, AOL Living, Bridal Guide, Brides y Caribbean Travel & Life tuvieron la oportunidad de disfrutar la octava edici\u00f3n de la Traves\u00eda Sagrada Maya y visitar el Museo Subacu\u00e1tico de Canc\u00fan.<\/p>\n

Con el apoyo de la OVC de Canc\u00fan,\u00a0Lisa Sonne, Lena Katz, Joshua Estrin, Jacquelin Carnegie y Chelsea Schmidt\u00a0presenciaron en Xcaret la representaci\u00f3n de un mercado prehisp\u00e1nico maya as\u00ed como la despedida de 350 canoeros que a bordo de sus embarcaciones se trasladaron hasta la isla de Cozumel para rendirle ofrendas a la Diosa Ixchel, como parte de un esfuerzo por revivir una tradici\u00f3n maya de m\u00e1s de 500 a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Para conocer m\u00e1s de cerca los vestigios culturales y tradiciones de la civilizaci\u00f3n maya, el organismo de promoci\u00f3n tur\u00edstica y Alltournative trasladaron a los comunicadores a la zona arqueol\u00f3gica de Cob\u00e1 y a Tres Reyes, una aut\u00e9ntica villa maya en medio de la selva maya, en donde degustaron comida t\u00edpica y tortillas hechas a mano.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Durante su estancia en el destino, los periodistas tambi\u00e9n recorrieron el Museo Subacu\u00e1tico de Canc\u00fan con el apoyo de la empresa Aquaworld, la cual proporcion\u00f3 la embarcaci\u00f3n y el equipo necesario para que se sumergieran y conocieran algunas de las 400 esculturas que se encuentran bajo el mar.<\/p>\n
