Club Harvard la ponencia\u00a0<em>Panorama del Turismo en M\u00e9xico<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Asever\u00f3 que el turismo es clave en la balanza comercial, al contribuir sistem\u00e1ticamente con un saldo superavitario<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Las estimaciones en el mundo se\u00f1alan que el turismo tendr\u00e1 una tendencia de crecimiento sostenido durante los pr\u00f3ximos 7 \u00f3 10 a\u00f1os, afirm\u00f3 la Secretaria de Turismo del Gobierno de la Rep\u00fablica, Claudia Ruiz Massieu, quien recalc\u00f3 que M\u00e9xico debe aprovechar esta ventaja.<\/p>\n<p>Ante miembros del Club Harvard, integrado por egresados de esa prestigiada universidad, la titular de la SECTUR present\u00f3 la ponencia\u00a0\u00a0<em>Panorama del Turismo en M\u00e9xico<\/em>, y se\u00f1al\u00f3 que en estos momentos se vive una buena \u00e9poca en la industria tur\u00edstica a nivel mundial, que \u201cest\u00e1 empezando una tendencia de crecimiento\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Ruiz Massieu expuso tambi\u00e9n que el papel del turismo es clave en la balanza comercial, ya que contribuye, sistem\u00e1ticamente, con un saldo superavitario, y consider\u00f3 que este sector es uno de los principales detonantes de la inversi\u00f3n de capital y desarrollo de infraestructura.<\/p>\n<p>El sector turismo, destac\u00f3, ha mantenido una participaci\u00f3n superior al 8 por ciento del total del Producto Interno Bruto (PIB), a\u00fan en periodos de crisis econ\u00f3micas y emergencias sanitarias.<\/p>\n<p>En este sentido, resalt\u00f3 el significativo crecimiento que registr\u00f3 la actividad tur\u00edstica en 2013, al superar los niveles hist\u00f3ricos del 2008, que era considerado como el a\u00f1o con el mayor desempe\u00f1o del turismo en M\u00e9xico.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Dijo que seg\u00fan reportes del Consejo Mundial de Viajes y Turismo (WTTC, por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s), se estima un crecimiento, para este a\u00f1o, del 4.4 por ciento en t\u00e9rminos reales del PIB de la industria de viajes y turismo en nuestro pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n<p>Asimismo, el sector tur\u00edstico tendr\u00e1 un incremento del 3.5 por ciento en empleos generados.<\/p>\n<p>Durante su participaci\u00f3n, la Secretaria de Turismo detall\u00f3 que se dise\u00f1\u00f3 un plan de acciones espec\u00edficas contempladas en las 44 Agendas de Competitividad de Destinos Tur\u00edsticos (ACDT) que el Presidente Enrique Pe\u00f1a Nieto entreg\u00f3, el pasado mi\u00e9rcoles, a los mandatarios de las 32 entidades federativas del pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n<p>Estas Agendas, expres\u00f3, permitir\u00e1n modernizar y revitalizar los destinos tur\u00edsticos de M\u00e9xico, a trav\u00e9s de la diversificaci\u00f3n de la oferta y mejorar la calidad de los servicios en los sitios donde se concentra el 80 por ciento de la actividad tur\u00edstica del pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n<p>Ruiz Massieu manifest\u00f3 que las 44 Agendas de Competitividad se fundamentan en cinco l\u00edneas de acci\u00f3n que permitan aumentar la competitividad: diversificaci\u00f3n de la oferta; desarrollo regional; modernizaci\u00f3n; detonante del desarrollo econ\u00f3mico, y\u00a0 consolidaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>La titular de la SECTUR tambi\u00e9n se refiri\u00f3 a las acciones que el Gobierno de la Republica ha implementado para convertir a nuestro pa\u00eds en un destino de clase mundial, y mencion\u00f3 que el mayor reto fue aumentar la cooperaci\u00f3n interinstitucional que permitiera acuerdos transversales, y ante la ausencia de un mecanismo coordinador de los esfuerzos institucionales, el Presidente\u00a0 Pe\u00f1a Nieto estableci\u00f3 el Gabinete Tur\u00edstico.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c9ste, asever\u00f3, ha sido reconocido por la Organizaci\u00f3n para la Cooperaci\u00f3n y el Desarrollo Econ\u00f3micos (OCDE)\u00a0 como un importante instrumento para la planeaci\u00f3n de pol\u00edticas p\u00fablicas, as\u00ed como para la coordinaci\u00f3n del gobierno, que permitiera la capacidad de administraci\u00f3n y facilitara la implementaci\u00f3n de planes, presupuestos y acciones del sector tur\u00edstico.<\/p>\n<p>Ruiz Massieu expres\u00f3 que para reafirmar el compromiso del Presidente de la Rep\u00fablica con el turismo como actividad prioritaria, se incluy\u00f3 al sector en ejercicios de planeaci\u00f3n
