<\/a><\/p>\nEste reconocimiento destaca el compromiso del hotel con las pol\u00edticas p\u00fablicas de sostenibilidad y sustentabilidad promovidas por el Gobierno del Estado en el Nuevo Acuerdo por el Bienestar y Desarrollo de Quintana Roo que impulsa la gobernadora Mara Lezama.<\/p>\n
La gobernadora de Quintana Roo, Mara Lezama Espinosa, inform\u00f3 que para este verano Bacalar tiene previsto un crecimiento del 17.3% en relaci\u00f3n con el a\u00f1o 2023. Es decir, llegar a los 26 mil 862 visitantes sobre los 22 mil 899 del a\u00f1o pasado.<\/p>\n
El dise\u00f1o del hotel, concebido por la arquitecta mexicana Frida Escobedo, ganadora del Le Prix Charlotte Perriand 2024, se compone de 22 villas estilo casa en el \u00e1rbol, situadas en la vibrante Laguna de los Siete Colores.<\/p>\n
Escobedo explica que \u201cBoca de Agua\u201d se dise\u00f1\u00f3 con un enfoque en minimizar el impacto ambiental. \u201cIntegrar el paisaje como una ruina permite que la naturaleza reclame gradualmente las estructuras, mientras que elevar las habitaciones facilita que la vegetaci\u00f3n fluya por debajo, reduciendo la huella en el terreno\u201d.<\/p>\n
Los alojamientos est\u00e1n elevados sobre pilares y construidos cuidadosamente alrededor de los manglares, con el objetivo de minimizar el impacto en el suelo. De los 82 acres que ocupa el hotel, el 90% permanece intacto y se ha replantado 2.5 acres de manglar previamente da\u00f1ados.<\/p>\n
Las casas en los \u00e1rboles est\u00e1n fabricadas con madera local de Chicozapote certificada por el Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). La mayor\u00eda de los muebles son creados a partir de materiales recuperados por artesanos de Quintana Roo, y el sistema de tratamiento de aguas residuales asegura que no haya impacto en la laguna.<\/p>\n
Adem\u00e1s, \u201cBoca de Agua\u201d colabora con la organizaci\u00f3n sin fines de lucro Mono Ara\u00f1a para proteger y expandir el h\u00e1bitat de los monos ara\u00f1a en la regi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n
