Canc\u00fan, Q. Roo. \u2013<\/strong> El Comit\u00e9 Ambiental de la Asociaci\u00f3n de Hoteles de Canc\u00fan, Puerto Morelos e Isla Mujeres, presidido por el Ingeniero Bi\u00f3logo Antonio Ortiz, inici\u00f3 un proceso de relanzamiento con el objetivo de fortalecer sus acciones en sostenibilidad y gesti\u00f3n ambiental.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Antonio Ortiz, quien representa al hotel asociado Moon Palace y es el Gerente Corporativo Ambiental en The Palace Company, explic\u00f3 que el comit\u00e9, que ha existido durante mucho tiempo dentro de la AHCPMIM, ha estado bajo su direcci\u00f3n desde 2020 y ha sido un espacio clave para el intercambio de experiencias y conocimientos entre los encargados de sostenibilidad en los hoteles asociados.<\/p>\n

En la reuni\u00f3n celebrada el 16 de agosto, Ortiz detall\u00f3 que el primer paso en este relanzamiento ser\u00e1 apoyar la gesti\u00f3n del Plan de Comunicaci\u00f3n Hoteler\u00eda Sostenible en la recopilaci\u00f3n de informaci\u00f3n para identificar a los responsables de la gesti\u00f3n ambiental dentro de los hoteles asociados y miembros aliados. \u00abQueremos conocer qui\u00e9nes est\u00e1n a cargo de la sustentabilidad y la parte ambiental en cada hotel, si son bi\u00f3logos, si el puesto recae en capital humano, etc\u00e9tera\u00bb<\/em>, se\u00f1al\u00f3.<\/p>\n

Este diagn\u00f3stico permitir\u00e1 al comit\u00e9 identificar los temas ambientales m\u00e1s apremiantes, tales como la erosi\u00f3n de playas, la gesti\u00f3n del sargazo, la reducci\u00f3n del uso de pl\u00e1sticos de un solo uso, e incluso temas relacionados con el cambio clim\u00e1tico.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00abVamos a intercambiar experiencias con todos los asociados y hacer un posicionamiento sobre qu\u00e9 es lo que m\u00e1s les preocupa y c\u00f3mo se est\u00e1 abordando el tema ambiental\u00bb<\/em>, a\u00f1adi\u00f3.<\/p>\n

Tambi\u00e9n destac\u00f3 que, aunque a\u00fan queda mucho por hacer, es alentador ver que cada vez m\u00e1s hoteles est\u00e1n impulsando la sostenibilidad a niveles cercanos a la direcci\u00f3n. \u00abEs una realidad que cada vez m\u00e1s es una constante ver en los organigramas en niveles m\u00e1s cercanos a la direcci\u00f3n, se est\u00e1 dando este impulso\u00bb,<\/em> coment\u00f3.<\/p>\n

El relanzamiento del comit\u00e9 tambi\u00e9n incluir\u00e1 la recopilaci\u00f3n de datos sobre cu\u00e1ntas personas est\u00e1n trabajando en \u00e1reas de sostenibilidad, qui\u00e9nes son, d\u00f3nde est\u00e1n ubicados, a qu\u00e9 nivel operan, y cu\u00e1ntos colaboradores tienen.\u00bbEso es lo primero que vamos a hacer en este relanzamiento\u00bb, explic\u00f3 Ortiz.<\/p>\n

Finalmente, adelant\u00f3 que, aunque algunas de las medidas planeadas est\u00e1n pensadas para el pr\u00f3ximo a\u00f1o, se espera acelerar su implementaci\u00f3n durante lo que resta de este a\u00f1o.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
