\"\"<\/a>En un mercado laboral con alta rotaci\u00f3n como el tur\u00edstico, el caso de Gerardo Burgue\u00f1o marca la excepci\u00f3n. Lleg\u00f3 a Isla Mujeres hace 26 a\u00f1os para, literalmente, casarse con la marca Rolandi, donde naci\u00f3 su amor por un servicio de calidad y por el ambiente familiar de ese pedacito de tierra que hizo su hogar.<\/p>\n

Su an\u00e9cdota de vida cuenta que al concluir la preparatoria en su natal M\u00e9rida, Yucat\u00e1n, viaj\u00f3 a la isla para encontrarse con su hermano, quien laboraba en Pizza Rolandi\u2019s. Se emple\u00f3 como ayudante en el bar, puesto en el que labor\u00f3 por tres a\u00f1os, luego como garrotero, y en poco tiempo asumi\u00f3 funciones de mesero en el restaurante durante cinco a\u00f1os, hasta que fue nombrado subgerente, para finalmente convertirse en gerente del restaurante Casa Rolandi.<\/p>\n

\u201cMe fue gustando el conocer a gente nueva y diferente, fui aprendiendo cosas nuevas, incluso el italiano y el ingl\u00e9s, tambi\u00e9n comenc\u00e9 a bucear. Decid\u00ed quedarme en Isla Mujeres por su gente c\u00e1lida, la tranquilidad y seguridad. Al\u00a0 final mi hermano, quien lleg\u00f3 primero, se fue y yo sigo aqu\u00ed\u201d, comenta.<\/p>\n

Tras su paso por Pizza Rolandi\u2019s, de 1988 a 1999, el restaurante Casa Rolandi se convirti\u00f3 en su segundo hogar. Gerardo Burgue\u00f1o menciona su satisfacci\u00f3n por haber tenido la oportunidad de conocer a personalidades de la talla del exprimer ministro brit\u00e1nico Tony Blair, el exsecretario de la ONU, Kofi Annan, o al actor Paul Newman, entre tantos otros personajes internacionales y nacionales.<\/p>\n

\u201cSiempre tuve presente que hay que ser constante, aprender todos los d\u00edas, aprovechar las oportunidades de crecimiento. Tengo mucho que agradecer a Giancarlo Frigerio por el aprendizaje. Ahora como gerente siempre tengo presente apoyar a los j\u00f3venes que ingresan para tener una experiencia como la que viv\u00ed aqu\u00ed\u201d, agrega.<\/p>\n

Isla Mujeres y m\u00e1s el restaurante Casa Rolandi, que forma parte del hotel que operaba bajo esta marca y actualmente en remodelaci\u00f3n luego de integrarse al portafolio de AMResorts, son para Gerardo Burgue\u00f1o parte de su historia de vida, que ahora comparte con su esposa e hijos en este que considera \u201cun lugar privilegiado\u201d.
