Y es que existe otra bebida que cada d\u00eda est\u00e1 tomando mayor fuerza y mayor presencia a nivel internacional: <strong>el mezcal.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>El mezcal es una <strong>bebida espirituosa<\/strong> t\u00edpica mexicana, la m\u00e1s popular y arraigada en el Sur del pa\u00eds. La palabra se deriva del n\u00e1huatl \u201c<strong>mexicalli<\/strong>\u201d, que significa \u201c<strong>maguey cocido<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Se obtiene de la destilaci\u00f3n y rectificaci\u00f3n de los mostos preparados directa u originalmente con los az\u00facares extra\u00eddos de las cabezas maduras de los agaves. La bebida se produce en el bello estado de <strong>Oaxaca<\/strong>, que adem\u00e1s nos ofrece maravillosos regalos naturales, culturales y gastron\u00f3micos. Si visita Oaxaca ser\u00eda casi un pecado partir sin probar su prestigiada bebida.<\/p>\n<p>El nombre del <strong>Mezcal 666<\/strong> ten\u00eda que ser diferente, como deber\u00eda serlo el mismo mezcal. Y es que esta bebida ha sido la materializaci\u00f3n de un sue\u00f1o\u2026 la culminaci\u00f3n de una odisea, una b\u00fasqueda y, finalmente, un encuentro.<\/p>\n<p>Un hallazgo afortunado al recorrer el mundo de la mitolog\u00eda, de las m\u00e1s antiguas<strong> leyendas ind\u00edgenas<\/strong>, de la bravura y virilidad de los antiguos guerreros, de la magia de los gusanos afrodis\u00edacos y de los 400 pechos de la diosa <strong>Mayahuel<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Venturosas idas y venidas a Oaxaca, catas ricas e interminables en la b\u00fasqueda de esa esencia \u00fanica, m\u00e1gica, espiritual, que s\u00f3lo contiene el verdadero mezcal, el \u201c<strong>elixir de los dioses<\/strong>\u201d, as\u00ed llamado -cuenta la leyenda-, pues nos dice que fue un rayo, enviado por las deidades, el que siglos atr\u00e1s limpi\u00f3, coci\u00f3, ferment\u00f3 y destil\u00f3 el coraz\u00f3n de una bendita planta de agave, engendrando as\u00ed ese licor que hoy se expande hacia todo el mundo.<\/p>\n<p>Traves\u00edas entre palmas de agaves que permitieron comprender las razones que tuvo en el siglo XIX el cient\u00edfico alem\u00e1n <strong>Alexander Von Humboldt<\/strong> para afirmar que \u201cel maguey es el m\u00e1s \u00fatil de todas las producciones que la naturaleza ha concedido a los pueblos de la Am\u00e9rica septentrional\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Ese maguey, indistintamente llamado tambi\u00e9n agave, palabra a la que el diccionario de la <strong>Real Academia Espa\u00f1ola<\/strong> identifica como derivada del vocablo griego \u00e1yaun(agavos), que significa nada menos que \u201cadmirable\u201d. As\u00ed, admirable, ha sido el descubrimiento constante en que se convirti\u00f3 por meses la b\u00fasqueda del Mezcal 666, la fusi\u00f3n sutil y prolongada entre el letargo sensual y el encantamiento hipn\u00f3tico producido por aquella esencia, por ese extracto ancestral.<\/p>\n<p>Y en el centro del hedonismo de esta b\u00fasqueda, el surgimiento inevitable de\u00a0 lo er\u00f3tico del caracter\u00edstico \u201cgusano rojo\u201d o \u201cgusano de maguey\u201d, el cual en las culturas prehisp\u00e1nicas fuera alimento, y un valorado condimento para la gastronom\u00eda, pero principalmente un codiciado afrodis\u00edaco que acentuaba incluso el valor y la bravura de los guerreros ante una batalla. Hoy, la sal de ese gusano es el delicioso preludio, en la cima de la sensibilidad que es la punta de la lengua, que precede a la degustaci\u00f3n del Mezcal 666, es el detonador de esa sensacional explosi\u00f3n de placer, de deleite y de recreo. Cuenta la leyenda que fueron esos gusanos, convertidos en el coraz\u00f3n de Mayahuel, la diosa del maguey y del mezcal, los que le provocaron por vez primera aquella excitaci\u00f3n jam\u00e1s antes sentida que la llevar\u00eda al deseo carnal. Deseo que le hiciera enamorarse de un guerrero, el cual, v\u00edctima de los encantos de la maravillosa diosa, viv\u00eda permanentemente tembloroso y t\u00edmido ante la presencia divina de su amada. Fue as\u00ed que la diosa le diera al guerrero a beber el licor que brotaba del m\u00e1s hermoso de sus 400 senos. S\u00f3lo as\u00ed, despu\u00e9s de beber largamente, fue que el guerrero venci\u00f3 su timidez y pudo exigir con l\u00e1grimas en los ojos a la diosa que lo convirtiera en dios o\u00a0 ella se tornara en mujer. Emocionada, de sus entra\u00f1as tom\u00f3 Mayahuel un gusano sagrado para darlo a comer al guerrero, quien s\u00f3lo as\u00ed se sinti\u00f3 a la altura de la diosa para tomarla en sus brazos y amarla eternamente.<\/p>\n<p>S\u00f3lo el mezcal pudo inspirar una leyenda como \u00e9sta.
