Chetumal.- En la conmemoraci\u00f3n de 127 a\u00f1os de la fundaci\u00f3n de Payo Obispo, hoy Chetumal, la capital de Quintana Roo, la gobernadora Mara Lezama Espinosa asegur\u00f3 que esta ciudad est\u00e1 recuperando el brillo que jam\u00e1s, debi\u00f3 haber perdido, con el trabajo unido de todas y todos, con un gobierno diferente, humanista con coraz\u00f3n feminista.<\/div>\n

\u201cEstamos impulsando obras hist\u00f3ricas, recuperando los espacios p\u00fablicos, fortaleciendo la econom\u00eda local y promoviendo el turismo comunitario, pero lo m\u00e1s importante, estamos haciendo justicia social a una ciudad que por a\u00f1os fue olvidada y que hoy ocupa el lugar que se merece dentro de la transformaci\u00f3n de nuestro maravilloso estado\u201d expres\u00f3 la titular del Ejecutivo.<\/div>\n

Desde el Parque de los Caimanes, en el primer Barrio M\u00e1gico de M\u00e9xico, el centro hist\u00f3rico de Chetumal, y desde la Fuente del Pescador, en el Bulevar Bah\u00eda, la gobernadora Mara Lezama record\u00f3 que fue un 5 de mayo de 1898 cuando el teniente Oth\u00f3n Pompeyo Blanco fund\u00f3 este importante asentamiento a orillas del R\u00edo Hondo con visi\u00f3n, con valent\u00eda, con un firme compromiso con la soberan\u00eda nacional.<\/div>\n

\u201cNo fue una tarea f\u00e1cil. En aquel entonces esta regi\u00f3n estaba marcada por el aislamiento, la selva densa y una historia de conflicto. Sin embargo, fue tambi\u00e9n tierra f\u00e9rtil para sembrar la esperanza; aqu\u00ed naci\u00f3 una comunidad resiliente, trabajadora, forjada en la adversidad, guiada por un ideal de justicia y de bienestar. Hoy, 127 a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s, el esp\u00edritu de aquellas y aquellos pioneros vive en cada chetumale\u00f1a, chetumale\u00f1o, en sus valores, en su esfuerzo diario, y en ese profundo amor por esta tierra. Como primera mujer gobernadora de Quintana Roo me honra decirlo con claridad: Chetumal est\u00e1 recuperando el brillo que jam\u00e1s debi\u00f3 haber perdido\u201d, expres\u00f3 Mara Lezama.<\/div>\n
